A/N: Hermione is pronounced her-my-oh-knee.
When I arrived to work, no one stared. Not even a single person looked at me. It was as if I was invisible.
I continued walking and got inside the elevator.
Once on the floor, I saw that Mr. Ricci's office had a sign.
Do not Disturb
That's new. I decided to ignore it and went straight to work.
Randomly, my thoughts were all over the place and jumbled up. Like out of nowhere I was wondering why the bedroom isn't called the rest-room?!
I checked my phone to see more messages from my father and one from Cristiano and Lucas.
Dad: Don't f*cking ignore me you slut.
Dad: Answer the damn phone
Dad: I should've told your mom to abort you when I had the chanceCristiano: have you seen the news?
Lucas: I'm sorry.
I felt so confused with the texts. My father all of a sudden texts me in the morning, then Cristiano asks a weird question, and Lucas says that he's sorry. Sorry for what exactly?
I put my phone away when I hear the door open.
Out came Lucas with a gorgeous girl. She was about 5'2, with beautiful brunette hair and green-blue eyes, tan skin, and long legs that could attract any man.
"Have a good time Lucas and Hermione," Mr. Ricci said with a wave to the two of them.
I pretended to not know and kept my eyes on my computer and typed onto a schedule. I got up from my chair and made my way to the back of the floor to the copying machines. I ignored Lucas as I passed by him and Hermione. Even her name is pretty.
The news channel was on and what the anchor was saying caught my attention: "Lucas Ricci, son of multi-billionaire Andres Ricci, was spotted with Hermione Lopez earlier this day. But just a few days ago he was spotted on a date with his fathers assistant Imogen Montes. Is he back to having flings, or is he ready to tie the knot with Hermione?"
I left the room and went back to my desk. How was I so stupid! I for one second thought he was actually nice. The stupidity that runs in my mind makes me so vulnerable.

Lucas' POV (surprise: only for now)"Hello?"
"Son, can you come by my office immediately. I have someone here for you that I would love for you to meet," my dad said.
I rolled my eyes. "Oh yes father dear," I said with sarcasm.
I got off of my bed and got ready in my suit. I made my out of my penthouse and thought about Imogen.
I still haven't called her since the date and I was truly scared.
She had gotten a call but didn't tell me of what. I was waiting for her to text me and update me on the problem that happened but she didn't text me.
I waited for the past three days and nothing. I was a chicken. I was scared.
I passed by my dad's office for those three days in a row and she never came. I thought that she quit because of me.
I knew where she lived because I picked her up and dropped her off the day of the date but I didn't want to interrupt her.
As soon as I got to my dad's office, I saw her empty desk. I sighed and went straight to his office.
