Author's Note: I unintentionally skipped some time. So, they've known each other for a month now. Making it late September. Around the 28th.

"You know it's real nice of you having this little kickback for So."

I turned around and saw Chris smiling at me. His goofy ass always smiling at me. I shrugged and smiled back.

"Yeah, well I try. You think she'll actually talk to Baby Mikey though," I asked, looking up in his eyes.

He shrugged. "Shit, maybe, maybe not. She'll probably chicken out at the last minute. But can you stop calling him that? I'm your one and only baby."

I sucked my teeth. "Man...she better say something to him 'cause I ain't invite all these people to my house for nothing. And shut up."

"Let's go dance," he laughed. "I ain't seen you out on the floor yet."

"Maybe because I don't dance," I followed behind him.

"Don't dance, my ass. Girl, stop."

"Chris I'm serious. I don't dance."

He looked back at me and then laughed and continued walking us to the middle of my living room.

"Come on Ms. I Don't Dance. Throw that ass back," he yelled sounding like Plies.

"Excuse me?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Nah, I'm just playing. But for real. Come on," he gestured with his hands. When I didn't move towards him, he grabbed my hand and I pulled it away from him with a smirk on my face.

'I Wanna Be Down' by Brandy came on the playlist I had going. Chris had a determined look on his face and pulled me into him.

"I won't bite. Relax."

He put his hands on the small of my back and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He bent down to where his head was buried in my neck and kissed it.

"I wanna be down with what you're goin' through. I wanna be down, I wanna be down with you. Not matter the time of day or night, it's true. I wanna be down," he sang in my ear.

I almost melted, I swear. His voice was so perfect. I've never heard him sing before. Most people I know who can sing usually sing all the time or hum lowly for the most part. But Chris hasn't done that at all. He doesn't even dance around like he likes to do.

"I know anybody's gonna be lonely. Without the reason they got someone to care for. Maybe all you need's a shoulder to cry on. If that's a fact then I'll be more than you ever could dream of."

He sang the whole song to me and by the end of it I was blushing up a storm. He pulled me over to my couch in the far corner.

"Chris in your introduction on the first day, you didn't say anything about singing," I smiled at him.

I leaned my head back on his shoulder and put my feet up beside me. He had his arm thrown across the back of the couch.

"You could've asked me," he shrugged.

"I never thought about it."

"Now ya know," he cheesed down at me.

"Don't kiss me."
