On this day in history 481 years ago, Anne Boleyn met her tragic fate. She was a woman who was advanced for her time with goals and dreams. She was not a woman who voluntarily chased after a married man. She was forced to. She loved Henry with all of her heart and she died for their love. Elizabeth I became one of the most influential monarchs in all of world history. Her daughter, the one Henry had called useless, was everything he had wanted in a son. She had proved her father wrong.
Anne Boleyn went to heaven. She atoned for her sins, and there were a few. But for her daughter to become such a powerful ruler, that was a gift. Her daughter never married, effectively ending the direct Tudor line, everything Henry had worked to build.
She was Anne Boleyn, The Dark haired beauty. The lover of music, of her children, of her husband.
In the end, to me she was innocent.
Long Live the memory of Anne Boleyn
