Chapter 44

Alice's P.O.V.

We get to work instantly trying to check every part of her body for something else. I was correct in all of my guesses and she is severely injured. Her ribs are trying to fix themselves but they are cutting her more and making it worse. Carlisle has put all of her ribs back where they are supposed to be but they are taking forever to heal. We had to put a back brace on her so that the crack in her spinal cord will heal correctly. Her arm and leg are already healed and her collarbone is close to it as well.

"Bring in Rosalie and Emmett. She needs to have the strength of her mates with her to finish healing." Carlisle says to me.

I nod my head and open the door. The two of them walk in immediately and head straight to Bella's bedside.

"How is she Carlisle?" Emmett asks.

"She's going to be sore for a few days and she needs a lot of rest to help her body. She broke every single rib and some were actually poking out of her. I reset them and they will take the longest to heal. Her collarbone, an arm and leg was broken but it's all good now. She had a bad crack in her spine so she has to wear this brace for a week to make sure it heals properly. Other than that she'll be perfectly fine." Carlisle says to them.

They both nod and we walk out of the room. I shut the door and head and check on the rest of the family.

Rose's P.O.V.

"Hey Emmett how about we bring over that couch so we can sit on it so that we don't hurt her." I say to him.

He nods his head and brings the couch over to Bella's bedside and sets it down. I sit down on it and just watch our beautiful mate. I wrap my fingers with Emmett's and grab her hand and squeeze it.

"She's so brave Emmett. She kept her pain away from us and she risked her life for me in that battle. I'm so lucky to have the both of you." I say and kiss Emmett and then kiss Bella.

I pull back and sit back down.

"She is everything to us and I love how she likes to protect us from her own pain but I wish she would have let us feel what she was feeling. I am lucky to have the both of you as well." Emmett says and kisses me then Bella.

"I'm lucky to have you two also." I hear a weak voice say. "Your both such a tease. Alittle kiss then leave, that's so mean of you two."

I look over and see a small smile playing on a weak Bella's face.

"We just don't want to hurt you." Emmett says.

"Get over here the both of you and kiss me like you mean it." She commands us.

Emmett gets up first and walks over to her and leans down. He kisses her and she quickly responds by pulling him down on top of her. He tries to get up and break the kiss off but she pulls him down on top of her even harder.

"Don't even worry about me. I missed you and I'm fine. You aren't hurting me at all now stay still. Rose get over here." She commands me and it's incredibly sexy.

I walk over to her slowly and she grabs my shirt with her free hand and yanks me down onto her lips. She kisses me hungrily and bites my bottom lip instantly gaining access to my mouth. I moan loudly and she breaks away from the kiss and looks me in the eyes.

"You are absolutely perfect and I hate that I let that vampire touch you. I'll take better care of you from now on." She says and gives me alittle peck on the lips then she lets me and Emmett go.

I sit back down on the couch and grab Emmett's hand. "How are you feeling?" I ask.

"I'm better now that I got an actual kiss." She jokes.
