He Will Always Have My Heart

PRINCESS.

I knew even though Roch didn't agree to it there and then, she would move into the Grove with us. She was so used to living further away from us she had grown accustom to it. But after everything we have been through the past couple of months it was best we all stayed together at least until Terrence was found.

Everyone was starting to get back on their feet, however it still didn't feel right. We missed Mica loads, MJ was just a baby. I couldn't have coped if that was Ebony. It was weird not seeing Jayden and Reese around. Layla was hardly talking to anyone. I hadn't actually seen Roch in a while so this catch up was needed.

As our shopping spree came to an end Roch went to the car whilst I went to use the restroom. As I made my way back to the car, I bumped into a pregnant lady.

"I'm so sorry." I told her.

"No it's okay. I should have listened to my fiancé he told me not to move; but no, I'm here waddling to the car park." She chuckled.

"You going North or South Bay?" I asked her.

"North."

"Well so am I, so come on, we can walk together."

"Okay, thank you. I can't wait 'til I give birth. They say the first pregnancy is the hardest. At this rate I won't have any more. These babies are working my spine."

"Babies? Twins?"

"Yup. I have a twin brother so I wasn't surprised when they told me I was having twins. Gonna have two boys."

"Awwww I had a lil girl over a year ago. You gonna love them when they come into the world."

"Everyone keeps saying this. I guess now me and my fiancé are back on track I am even more happier."

I smiled at her, before I could say anything else a man called out.

"Nyla! What I tell you? Why you couldn't...wait." Nick said as our eyes met.

"Nick, I was tired of waiting and this very friendly lady...sorry we been walking and talking and I didn't get yo name."

"It's Princess." I said calmly.

I was far from calm though. I was pissed. Here he stood bold as hell.

"Well I'm Nyla, and this is my fiancé Nicholas." She said none the wiser that we already knew each other...very well.

"Nice to meet you both. Now I have escorted you to yo fiancé, excuse me gotta go catch my ride before my gurl thinks I've forgotten she's waiting for me. Good luck with yo pregnancy." I said to her looking at Nick when I said the word "pregnancy".

I walked off and got in the car, luckily Roch was on the phone so she paid me no attention. I wasn't mad he had someone else, I was mad he had sold himself as holier than thou yet he wasn't. He was with me the whole of my pregnancy and before that so when did he have time to have a woman let alone a fiancé? My phone vibrated and I saw Nick's name. I just shook my head. I didn't even open it.

"You gon get out my car or what?" I heard Roch say taking me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry gurl I was miles away. I'ma holla."

We hugged and I unloaded my bags out the car. I came in to the house to the smell of food. I saw Antwan in the kitchen with food. I had to laugh.

"Well who is this new and improved guy standing in my kitchen?"

"Haha you got jokes. No I never made this I got us takeaway. Buuuttt... I did decorate the table. You girls like roses and candles and alla that. You like?" He asked with the cheesiest grin ever.

"Yeah, it's cute."

"That's wassup. Ite well go put all that down and come eat."

"Where's my daughter? I hope you didn't put her on Tanayah thinking you was gon get you some booty. Cah that ain't gon happen."

"Our daughter is in her cot sleeping. She too hyper. Had to put her wild self to sleep or she would have worked me out. And I'm not tryna get no booty, if I want it I can take it but I'm finna play yo game and you come get it when you ready." He said, pulling me towards him he kissed me deeply then let me go and went back to the kitchen.

I had to regain some composure it had been almost a year with no sex and although I hadn't been bothered before now, I was on fire.
Antwan knew what he was doing. I just smiled as I made my way to my room and saw my baby in her cot.

Ebony was my world. From the day she was born until the day I die. She completes me. She does new things every day that has me recording her. Gotta get her to start saying mom because this 'da da da' won't work well with me. I smirked at the thought of when she took her first steps and all the things I had to look forward to like her first day at school. I could not wait.

I got changed and checked my phone completely forgetting Nick had messaged me. I decided to read the message:

Nick.x: Hey, I can explain about today and how it must look but it's more complicated than you can imagine. Maybe we can meet and talk? Hit me up.
Nick.

I just laughed. This guy was unbelievable. It was there and then that I realised I felt nothing for him. I had felt bad for putting him through these trials and tribulations of me and Antwan but not anymore. I decided to text him back:

You don't owe me an explanation. We are no longer in each other's lives and it's been that way for over a year now. Let's keep it that way. You have your fiancé and twins on the way and I'm building back my family with Ant; Me and Ebony couldn't be happier. So why don't after you read this you just delete my number just like I'll delete yours. All the best, was nice knowing you. P.

I smiled as I pressed sent and then deleted his number and all other text messages other than the one he just sent and the one I sent. I was done with Nick. I needed to focus on what's right in front of me. Antwan isn't perfect but he will always have my heart. Even more now we have Ebony.

Let's not get shit twisted though I plan on making Antwan work hard and show me that he can back up his talk.

I can't lie it's been a rocky road the past fifteen years but I prefer to improve and have a better life with Ant than to start again with someone else and encounter another rocky road.
