Bearer Of Bad News
LISA.
If you told me a year ago that I would have been on speaking terms with my kids let alone us living together; I would have told you that you were on crack. My life has gone from bad to brilliant. I couldn't be happier. I'm with the man I love and always have done. My kids have forgiven me and call me their 'mom'. I have grandkids who I adore. And to top it all I am free of the bastard Terrence. I do wish he would come out from where he was hiding so he could be killed.
Even though my life is good the people around me are not doing so great. My daughter recently gave birth to her baby girl; she loves her to bits but I know she wishes Reese was around to raise their daughter with her. She loved him and Terrence killed him in front of her. She didn't get to even tell him that she was pregnant.
Throughout her pregnancy she wasn't sleeping, eating or talking; she just cried. She lost a lot of weight and whilst she was pregnant the baby was very small compared to how she should be. We tried everything but she just wouldn't eat.
On top of that Tammy and Tyrone have had to bury three kids and one grandkid. Terrence has done too much and he will pay the price.
My daughter had come out of hospital this week as little Reesey was getting stronger every day. They allowed her to go home but would come and do weekly checks. This was why I preferred private hospitals. They tended to your needs much better. As my daughter was coming home this week and everyone would be home; me, Tammy and Coco would cook a big Sunday dinner for the family. Tammy and I did some food shopping and went for some drinks. Tammy told me she was going to the restroom and that I should take the groceries to the car. As I walked to the car I could have sworn I glimpsed Terrence but when I looked back the person wasn't there. I just shrugged it off because there was no way he could have been there and gone the next.
A good ten minutes passed by and Tammy hadn't surfaced so I decided to go find her. I walked into the restroom and no one was there. I was confused and thought maybe she went to another one. I left and checked out all the other restrooms nearby and still couldn't find her; I started panicking. I started to think maybe I did see Terrence.
I went back to the first restroom hoping she was there. Nothing. As I was leaving I stepped on something, I looked down to see what it was only to recognise that it was Tammy's bangle. I knew it was hers because I had always wanted one like it. I started panicking. I ran back to the car and looked around. Nothing. I got in the car and drove back to the Grove. I saw that both West's and Tyrone's cars were there. I sat in the car thinking how the hell I was going to be the bearer of bad news.
How was I going to tell them I lost Tammy and that I think Terrence has her? I thought of her kids, I thought of just how everyone was getting back on track. I sighed. The longer I sat in the car the longer Tammy would be missing. I used the key and stepped into my house. The boys were there with Layla.
"Where's your father?" I asked them.
"Over Tyrone's."
"I'll be back."
"Mom? You alright?" Layla asked.
I didn't want to lie. I couldn't lie. But I had to tell Tyrone first. I went over to her and kissed her forehead and kissed my granddaughter.
"I'll be back." I said again and left.
Just before I was about to knock the door I felt a tap on my shoulder that made me jump. I pulled out my gun before I even turned around. I sighed when I saw it was Romaine.
"Woah. Ma! What is witchu?" Romaine asked.
I was shaking. I was a mess. I was scared for Tammy, I was scared of how Tyrone was going to flip. I was petrified.
"Come with me Ro." I told him as I knocked the door.
West answered.
"Hey babe. I was coming over soon..."
I cut him.
"Where's Ty? This concerns you too."
I walked in. Even though I was scared I couldn't show it. Shit just got real. It was nearing almost one hour since I lost Tammy. That was one hour too long.
"Aye. Ty. Come here fo a second." West called out.
"What's up?" He asked coming out.
He looked at me and looked at Ro. He knew. I know he knew.
"Lisa...?" He said.
I sat down and I placed the bangle on the table. Tyrone picked it up.
"Tammy said she was going to the restroom to use the toilet. Told me to take her bags and she'll meet me at the car. Ten minutes had gone by and I thought that was a bit weird. Went to the restroom I assumed she went to and she wasn't there; I searched every restroom there was in the vicinity. I decided to go back to the first one to double check and that's where I found this bangle..."
I had my head down the whole time I was talking once I finished I looked up at Tyrone.
"Tammy took the bangle off. It was her way of telling you that something is wrong. That bangle can't come off her wrist unless she takes it off. Lisa. I'm really tryna keep my cool with you but why the hell did you let her go by herself??? Furthermore why did either of you go separate ways???"
I ignored him.
"...There's more..."
"More?"
"...As I was walking to the car I could have sworn I saw Terrence..."
I didn't even get to finish.
"WHY ARE YOU JUST SAYING THIS NOW??????? THAT'S THE FIRST THING YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID!!"
"Yo. I get you mad, but don't shout at her." West said speaking up for me.
Tyrone looked at him like he was going to kill him.
"DON'T FUCKING TELL ME WHAT TO DO!! YO BROTHER KILLED MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILD; NOW HE GOT MY WIFE!! DAFUQ YOU THINK IM MEANT TO BE CALM??!!????"
"You yelling at us ain't gon help!! Lisa is the one with all the info!! Babe. How long ago was this?"
"Could have been an hour, no more."
"AN...AN HOUR??? LISA!! YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? WHY AINT YOU CALL ME STRAIGHT AWAY???? YOU SURE YOU AINT IN ON THIS???" He said getting up in my face.
West was about to intervene and I stopped him.
"FUCK YOU TYRONE!! YOU CLAIM YOU GOT SECURITY FOLLOWING US ALL AROUND THE CLOCK...SO WHERE THE FUCK WERE THEY???? TAMMY IS MY BEST FRIEND AND I WOULD DO NOTHING TO HURT HER LEAST OF ALL PUT HER INTO THE ARMS OF AN ABUSIVE PSYCHO RAPIST!! I GET YOU MAD BUT YELL AT ME AND BE DISRESPECTFUL ONE MORE TIME. I WISH YOU WOULD!!"
I was heated. I get it's his wife, I get he's mad but how dare he accuse me of being part of this!
"Let's all calm down. Tyrone a meeting is needed. Now." Romaine said.
"You right. Get everyone here. Including security. Not the ones that police the Grove. My ones. Call them all here. Have everyone in my basement in 10 minutes. Have Coco with all the kids in my room." Tyrone said.
"Will do." My son said then left.
"Look Lisa, I'm sorry. I just can't lose anyone else."
"I know. We won't lose Tammy. We will find her."
He nodded and walked off. Now I felt bad. This bastard Terrence needed to die and I hoped I would be there to deliver one of the bullets myself.
