Background and Introduction

So this is where our story begins. In a little town no different from yours or mine. This is a story of one girls love pain and goodbyes. Before this story starts a brief explanation of the young girls childhood will need tobe told. Now to start with lets name this girl her name was Maddy at the time this story was told she was 22. However we need to start before that allow this story to make any sense what so ever. At the age of 11 Maddy met her best friend Danny he was a year older then Maddy but the two of them were very similar in personality both bubbly happy people. Both Maddy and Danny were geeks they loved their anime, manga, comics and both gamers. Maddy was an average sized girl at the age of eleven she had beautiful long brown flowing hair and emerald green eyes. Danny was tall for his age skinny, brown spiked hair and bright blue eyes. Danny and Maddy both met at a zoo not far from where they lived. It was a pretty little zoo with extraordinary animals in large enclosures.

The day Danny and Maddy met; they also met the third and final main character in this story and the completion to our trio. Danny and Maddy met for the first time in the reptile house of this amazing little zoo; both staring into the enclosure of a rather large iguana. Maddy had a love for animals big, small, scaly, feathered and even creepy crawlies. Danny had a love for reptiles and saw Maddy intently watching the iguana;this struck his decision to go over and rant off the facts about the iguana to his surprise Maddy started joining in giving facts of her own. This struck their friendship up laughing about the iguana. At the age of 11 they both knew they would be close friends from there onwards. While chatting about one of the Lizards near the end of the reptile house  our third character decided to join in with funny comments that made them both laugh. This new characters name is Charlie he was the same age as the other two he had blonde surfer hair and brown eyes and of average height. From that day on these three became the best of friends they went to the same school hung-out together everyday and grew up together laughing, crying,exploring and just having the times of their lives.

Then came the tragic day that changed the friendship and world of these three friends.These three friends were studying at Uni; funnily enough all at the same Uni but studying different subjects. Now Danny is as still as tall as ever still got his brown spiked hair and blue eyes but now he's learned to ride a motorbike, wears leather jackets and doctor martins and studying mechanics. Maddy still has her beautiful long hair but just like Danny she likes her alternative style of clothing, Doctor Martin boots, cobwebbed or skull dresses and ripped leggings and she's now studying Marine conservation. Charlie however had changed a lot he still had the surfer cut to his hair but had died it black with blue ends, and wore black jeans and band t shirts and was now studying music technology. As they usually would on this day these faithful three went to lunch off campus at a little coffee shop down the road, Danny took his motorbike down and Maddy drove Charlie down in her Chevrolet. This is where the tragedy unfolded on their way back from lunch Maddy and Charlie were following in her car behind Danny on his motorbike. Laughing, giggling and chatting as they always did; as the scene before them started to develop they knew their lives would never be the same again. Danny had pulled out as his traffic light had gone green and Maddy went to follow within seconds this normal road scene went into chaos. From her right-hand side, Maddy spotted an Arctic lorry run through his red light she tried to scream for Danny to warn him what was coming but she was far too late he couldn't hear her. She let out a blood-curdling scream as the lorry collided with Danny's bike with a metallic crunch. Tears streaming down Maddy's face she slammed her door open and sprinted towards the wreckage. Next thing she knew Charlie had his arms around her waist pulling her towards him holding her close to his chest restraining her as his own tears seeped down his cheeks. Unfortunately, it only gets worse Danny never made it through he died on impact with the lorry. Maddy and Charlie had lost their best friend and there was no way of getting him back. A week later they attended his funeral and buried him in a small churchyard with a beautiful headstone engraved with his name and a small motorbike under his dates. From that day on they made a pact that they would visit the zoo still together every year on the same date and pay a visit to Danny's grave afterward to tell him all the gossip and how everything was going.
