3 Years Later- Chapter 1

Maddy is still the same girl she used to be she is in her final year at Uni her grades are average but she will still leave Uni with a degree. The only two differences now are that after that fatal day is that Charlie now longer walks by her side and that no one really walks by her side; Maddy had Recoiled into herself pushing everyone away and no longer letting anyone close. Charlie on the other hand still took it as bad but changed himself, he got rid of his dyed hair, alternative clothing and threw out his rock music. Charlie had also got into the wrong side of the group hanging out with the popular students; drinking and taking things he really should not be. He had also found himself a new girlfriend the most popular cheerleader in school.

This would be a very hard and dramatic year for the both of them. Neither of them would see what is about to come ahead of them and the challenges they will face but you guys as the readers may see where this is going way before they ever do. This chapter will be pretty small as it is just an update on how their lives are going and how it starts spiraling out of control.

This is now the third year of the anniversary of Danny's death. The first year Maddy and Charlie were still good friends and kept their promise; they visited the zoo together and then went to his grave to update him on what was going on in the world and lay down some flowers for him. However the second year came around Charlie had left Maddy to struggle through their broken world by herself, this is where he fell into the wrong group and got his new girlfriend. He still turned up to the zoo visit but he brought her with him; this new girlfriend hated Maddy and everything about her. Maddy that day felt outcast and alone she walked a step behind the other two and they never acknowledged her presence so eventually, she got fed up and left them. Finally, when her day was over she started leaving; the other two were heading towards the exit at the same time as Maddy she kept her head down and avoided them both. She drove straight to Danny's grave as she does every year; she updated Danny on everything that was going on tears brimming in her eyes. It started getting dark; realisation popped into her head Charlie had not turned up to visit. She apologized to Danny for him not turning up laid the roses on his grave she brought with her; laid her head on his cold headstone said her goodbyes and got up and left.
