At 1:30 am Keith awoke his husband in a state of pain/ panic. His contractions had begun and the baby was ready to be born. Lance rushed around the house, grabbing their travel bags and helping Keith out the door.
She was finally born at 2:45 am. Both men too excited to sleep at this point. However, she wasn't born human. Furry, purple skin, ears attached to her head, and golden eyes were what she had. Keith's genes had been enough for her to be born Galra. That didn't make them love her any less. They named her Lana. She was a bit too tiny, but other than that, her health was perfect.
It took a few days before they were allowed to go home, but once they were able to, their whole family (Lance's family, and their family they'd made from Voltron) were waiting to celebrate with them. To their surprise Pidge was clinging to the newborn, and groaned when anyone else asked to hold her. Keith and Lance couldn't have been more proud.
