Chapter 5

The next day, Lana was upstairs playing, while Keith and Lance decided to have a talk.

"We could try homeschooling her." Lance had suggested.

"How's she gonna be able to interact with other kids and make friends though?" Keith asked, deep in thought.

"We can't allow her to keep getting bullied. Besides, isn's Shiro a teacher?"

Keith nodded. "He's a high school teacher though."

"Then he'll know even more to teach her."

"Lance, I don't know if this is a good idea. What if she's lonely?"

Lance was silent for a bit.

"Or we can always talk to Allura for schooling options. I know she and Pidge are looking for options Incase they have an Altean child."

Due to Alteans having a declining population, female could create children with another female just as female and men could.
(Yes I ship Pallura. Pidge is OLDER before any of you freak out. She's about 25.)

Keith sighed. "I suppose."

"We'll look into it and see what happens." Lance kisses Keith's hand, hoping to ease his worrying a little.

Lance got up and made a phone call to Allura.

"Hello?"

"Hey Allura it's me."

"Oh, hi Lance!"

"I was wondering if you and Pidge could stop by later today?"

"That shouldn't be a problem! Pidge has an ultrasound in a bit, but we should be free after lunchtime. Any reason why?"

It was still a surprise to Lance that Pidge of all people had been the one to carry the baby. She never seemed like the type to want to have children.

"Keith and I want to look into a new school for Lana. I can explain more when you get here."

"Oh sure. We'll come around 3. Sound alright?"

"Perfect. See you then."

Lance hung up and hugged Keith. "See? I told you everything would be okay." He smiled and kissed Keith's head.

"Remember the day we found out we were having her?" Keith smiled at the memory.

"Best day of my life. Well besides the actual birth day and our wedding day." Lance smiled back.

Finally. They Galra were defeated, declaring the end of war and everyone was able to return to Earth. The war was about 6 years in total.

Lance and Keith had gotten married on Earth with a nice ceremony involving Lance's family, and the family they'd created while in space. Even Allura and Coran decided to come give Earth a try. About a year or so after their marriage Keith began to feel strange.

It started one morning when Keith woke up. He began to feel nauseous and believed he was just hungry. Lance was downstairs working, and the school Keith worked at, had off for the day. He went downstairs and made himself a bowl of cereal.

However, eating only made it worse. His stomach churned and he suddenly felt the urge to vomit. Running up the stairs, he made it just in time to the bathroom.
