The President, cheif of staff, national security adviser and attorney general wait in a open field for James and his staff to arrive.
The national security adviser looks up and points.
"Mr. President, dragons approaching."
Everyone looks up as dragons blanket the sky. James was the lead dragon, as they landed it was obvious that James was extremely angry about something, it made the national security adviser and the attorney general uneasy. Folding his wings James looks at the president and growls, it wasn't a mildly upset growl it was a I'm pissed off so don't test me growl.
The President smiles and says slightly afraid.
"King James, it's good to see you again. How are you today?"
James looks at the president and says with a angry tone.
"What do you think? Humans killed hatchlings, and you ask me how are you?"
The President nods and sighs heavily.
"I know James, I know. You don't know how sorry I am, how many hatchlings were killed?"
James says with a sad but angry tone.
"85 hatchlings were killed, no they were murdered in cold blood. I want the humans responsible, they will stand trial in the dragon courts. They want to kill hatchlings? Fine they will pay for it in blood. A life for a life, blood for blood."
The attorney general steps forward and says.
"James..." He never gets to finish his sentence before a dragon cuts him off.
A green and white dragon says looking at the attorney general.
"You will address him as King James, or your majesty."
The attorney general nods and says.
"Yes of course, please forgive my ignorance. Your majesty, do you think it is right to punish them in that manner?"
James lowers his head looking into the eyes of the attorney general.
"Do you think it is fair to the families of those hatchlings? Mothers are crying, fathers are outraged. I am outraged the general of the dragon army wanted to hunt down and eliminate the ones who did it. Fortunately for you he respects and honors my wishes, so don't ask me if I think it is right. If I didn't stop him, let's just say we would be at war." The attorney general nods and steps back fully aware of just how delicate the current situation was.
The President looks at James then at the attorney general and national security adviser.
"I understand your rage your majesty, and I agree with you. What happened is unacceptable in every way, first let's get the ones responsible behind bars and then we can discuss this further. Please I don't want panic in the cities, the last thing we need is for humans to start fighting with the dragons. You and I both know that there will be losses on both sides, but it would be devastating for the humans."
James nods and growls, the president was right, neither one wanted war.
"I will give you 6 weeks, if you can't get it done we will."
The President nods and smiles.
"As you wish your majesty. 6 weeks, if we fail you will be allowed to hunt for them."
James nods and smiles as he spreads his wings.
"Thank you. If I may, I like to request that the current company with you be at the next meeting."
The President nods and smiles.
"They will be there. I can't wait to see their faces."
