Clint's POV
I woke up to a sudden bout of cold all over my body. I looked around and noticed the blankets had been moved off me. When I looked over to where Chelsee should have been. She wasn't there and neither were the blankets. I looked over to the bathroom and noticed the light on underneath the door. I laid back and placed my arms behind my head. Fully aware I was stark naked. The door opened and Chelsee walked out along with the blankets wrapped around her. She looked over at me and smiled.
"Sorry I didn't realize I took all the blankets." Her cheeks flamed red slightly as she walked over to me.
"Yeah I wondered why I got cold suddenly." She kneeled onto the bed and pulled the blankets with her. She crawled over me and I wrapped my arms around her before she could go over to her side. "I think payment is in store for causing me to freeze." She sexily chuckled up at me as I turned to be hovering over her.
"What would you like as your payment then?" She asked as she brushed her lips over mine.
"You." I said as she opened up the blankets. I brought one of my arms up to wrap around her bare torso. "Do you have any idea how freaking amazing it is to have you naked in my arms." She giggled as I pulled her on top of me. Her body pressed against mine and she wrapped the blankets around us.
"I find it amazing you have any energy left to want me again." She said while kissing me softly on the lips and then moving down to my chest.
"Oh I have a lot of stored energy I've put away for this. You're leaving today. I have to make sure I use this time wisely." I felt her smile against my chest. As she kissed back up to my neck and then further to my lips once more, I couldn't help but want this every morning. "What are you planning on doing for Christmas vacation?" I said and she lifted her head then moved off me to lay on her side.
"Well the kids are gonna spend a few days with their other grandparents. But then I have them for the rest of it. Why?" She slid into my side and placed her head on my chest.
"I was wondering if maybe I could stay at your house." I paused thinking for a minute. "Like maybe even moving in with you and the kids." She looked up at me and smiled.
"You would want to move in with us? Even with all the crazy going on?" I laughed at the end part.
"I would love to spend all the time I can with you. So being able to stay with you while I'm home and then you staying here when you visit. It would be perfect I think." I wrapped my arm around her to pull her closer to me.
"I would love nothing more than to have you move in." A smile grew on my face but, I noticed she was going to add something. "But I think we should wait to do that. I don't mean to hurt you in anyway but, I feel that we shouldn't rush into that. Especially with the kids."
"But the kids want us together anyways Chelsee. What's so wrong with moving forward." I looked down at her pretty upset. I thought she would be a lot more accepting about it now.
"It's the example of it Clint. I'd be infuriated if one of the kids moved in with their significant others that quickly. Why would I expect anything different of myself, if that's what I expect for them." I shook my head at her.
"They know we love each other. What better of an example is that?" She sat up quickly and pulled one of the sheets off the bed to cover herself. When she turned around she looked pretty pissed.
"The fact that you're fighting me on this proves that we shouldn't do it. I get that you have an opinion about this for yourself. But your forgetting that my choices don't only affect me. Those 3 kids upstairs catch the fall out of what ever I do. Someone who wants to be with me that badly would understand that. Instead of only caring about his needs." She started walking off and I stood up then caught her arm before she could leave.
"Do you honestly think this relationship is going to have some sort of fall out." I let go of her arm and stepped towards the window. I stewed for a minute and then I let out a set of words I will forever regret. "You wouldn't let him close to you. No wonder he went to someone else." As soon as they left my mouth, I felt so disgusted with myself. I turned back towards her. The only look in her eyes was emptiness. My heart broke knowing that I caused it. "Chelsee I-" She held her hand up to me and then headed towards the bathroom. The door shut quiet and I know everything that I had started with her had just crumbled away. I stood there listening to her pack her things up.
I quickly got dressed and waited for her to come out when she had finished. I was on the bed when the door swung open. She was fully dressed and was pulling her now packed bag behind her. She quickly picked up her dress and everything else from last night off the floor along with her phone. She stuffed it all into her carry on bag and then went to the door. I stood up and she stopped as in the doorway after she opened it.
"I'd appreciate if you would stay in here until I get all the kids packed up and leave." She walked out and pulled the door shut. I stared at the door for the longest time. I looked at the clock and realized she had 5 hours until their flight. Where was she going to wait? She must have sped to get them all packed because 45 minutes later I heard my front door open. "One moment." I heard Chelsee say through the door. I was hoping she was coming back in here but, I was wrong.
"Why isn't he saying goodbye to us?" I could hear Declan ask. After a few more quiet moments. I heard the door shut. Slowly I opened my door and looked around. My apartment was more empty than it had ever been. I looked over to the kitchen counter and noticed the jewelry box from her necklace was there. As I walked over I noticed a stack of money and a note next to it. 'This is for any expense you had with me and the kids.'
I didn't dare look at how much she left. It was way more final than what I wanted to deal with. I opened up the box and looked down at the string of pearls left inside. I just literally lost the best thing I will ever have had in my life. I picked the box up and chucked it across the room. I shoved the money off the the counter and yelled as loud as I could. My knees went week and I dropped to the floor. Uncontrollable sobs began to over take me.
