Inside the Blue House of South Korea, tensions ran high as a multitude of highly decorated dignitaries crowded a vast conference room. Seated at the center of the table, a man exuded authority with a mere glance, his gaze piercing through the assembled officials. Rubbing his temple wearily, he finally broke the silence.
"Regardless of your opinions, the truth behind this conspiracy must be revealed. I cannot deceive my people. It would be in everyone's best interest to assist rather than hinder this investigation," the President declared firmly.
Tense murmurs rippled through the room as one brave soul spoke up, "But Mr. President, this is an audacious step. What if it backfires?"
A slight smirk tugged at the corners of the President's lips before he responded, "If exposing corruption among politicians and conglomerates is considered audacious, then so be it. We serve the people, not the wealthiest elites." His words carried weight, silencing any further objections. It was clear that questioning the highest authority in the land, the President of Korea, was futile.
Reluctantly, the dignitaries acceded to the President's directive, leaving him alone to contemplate the gravity of his decision. As the room emptied, a trusted aide approached, bowing respectfully.
"Gwenchanaa," the aide murmured.
Nodding in acknowledgment, the President sighed, loosening the constricting grip of his tie. "Being President is never easy, Secretary Jang," he remarked wearily as his aide assisted him with his coat.
"How is Rachel?" he inquired, concern evident in his voice.
"She is well, sir," Secretary Jang replied tersely, prompting the President to peer intently at him. Sensing his President's unspoken thoughts, Secretary Jang hesitated before speaking candidly.
"Mr. President, we have received intelligence indicating impending threats. Those who oppose the investigation may resort to drastic measures. They recognize your integrity and understand that money cannot sway you. They may target..." His voice trailed off, the unspoken threat hanging heavily in the air.
The President rose from his seat, his expression betraying a grim acknowledgment of the danger. "They may target...?" he prompted, locking eyes with Secretary Jang.
"...Rachel," Secretary Jang admitted, his own apprehension palpable.
The President's worst fears materialized with those words. He had always strived to shield his daughter from the perils of his position, but she remained, inevitably, the President's daughter.
"And?" the President inquired, masking his turmoil with forced composure.
"We must bring her back to Korea. It will be challenging to ensure her safety abroad, and revealing her identity could attract unwanted attention. She will be safer here, in her homeland," Secretary Jang advised gravely, the weight of the situation bearing down on both men.
The President forced a painful smile. "It seems her exile is coming to an end."
Meanwhile, in New York...
"Agasshi, ireona... ireona..." A middle-aged woman attempted to rouse a slumbering figure, who stubbornly refused to awaken.
"Stubborn child..." she muttered, exiting the room in frustration.
"Yes, indeed," the girl in the black suit agreed, ending her call with a bright smile.
"What's put that smile on your face? Hmm?" the middle-aged woman inquired, failing to grasp the reason for the girl's evident joy.
"Ahjumma, we're going back," the girl announced, embracing the woman eagerly. However, the woman's expression remained impassive, revealing her lack of understanding.
