CHAPTER 25: HIDDEN

Flashback

Kris couldn't shrug off the feeling he had in the building, everyone finally met at the floor where Sehun was with Rachel.

"Kris, are you okay!? You're spacing out."

"No nothing serious Sehun, but I don't know why but I want to go back to ninth floor, I think I missed something there." He said voicing out his thoughts.

Sehun nodded, "Fine, then let's go there. Xiumin take Rachel outside."

Rachel quickly tightened her grip on his shirt. He looked at her, gesturing her to go with Xiumin, but she shook her head, scooting closer to Sehun. He sighed before letting her come with him.

"Just check around if you find something."

"I'm on it, Sehun." With that Xiumin left with Tao and other agents.

"Rachel you should have gone with Xiumin. It could be dangerous." He softly whispered.

"I don't want to go anywhere without you."

He chuckled, "Are you sure you're Rachel!? Because the Rachel I knew, could do anything to stay away from me."

She pouted, slapping his arm lightly. Sehun gave a brief smile, which went unnoticed by her.

Kris who was walking ahead, smiled at their cute little interaction, but his smile didn't last for long. He stopped right where he felt Baekhyun's presence, he turned into the same direction, Sehun and Rachel followed him.

They found a room in the darkest corner of the hallway. It was locked when Kris tried to open it. Sehun removed her hand from his, giving his gun to her. He and Kris pushed the door multiple times,  finally breaking it.

Kris went in, Sehun turned to Rachel, "Just stay here don't come inside." She nodded. But Rachel would be Rachel, she quickly disregarded his instruction stepping in to his steps.

Kris dropped to his knees, as he saw Baekhyun's body lifelessly laid down in puddle of blood.

As Sehun stepped in, he stumbled back hitting his back against the wall before slumping down to the floor. Rachel who was right behind him, couldn't hold his heavy body, as he fell down.

"Sehun.."

His eyes were trained towards the lifeless body of Baekhyun. Kris was sitting clutching his head in despair, probably crying his eyes out for losing another member.

Sehun remained stone faced, even when Rachel shook him. She finally turned following his gaze, which landed on Baekhyun.

She clasped her mouth, to suppress her scream, as tears fell through the corner of eyes. Her eyes widened when she realized Baekhyun's chest slowly moving up and down. She wiped off her tears, with wobbly legs she walked to him. It took her to gather all courage in her body to kneel down, touching Baekhyun's wrist to check his pulse.

Another emotion washed over her grief, as she smiled. "He's breathing."

"He's not dead, he's alive, Sehun."

Kris couldn't hear her, he was down in dumps but Sehun's eyes flickered for a second before he rushed to her.

He quickly checked his pulses, before confirming Rachel's suspicions.

"He's alive."

"God dammit, Kris he's alive."

He pushed him, breaking his trance. He couldn't waste a single second, he picked Baekhyun up in his arms rushing outside. Rachel helped Kris getting up, before they made a run to follow Sehun.
