The evening of the prom came, Millie did as Sadie asked and wore the same outfit she'd worn to the park the day they properly met, the day that Sadie got to see beyond her façade. She felt really under-dressed, assuming that most of the girls would still choose to wear fancy prom gowns regardless of the open dress code. Sadie turned up wearing her usual attire too, a simple dress with leggings, over which she wore her denim jacket. "Wow, you know in a weird way we totally matched our prom outfits" said Millie, looking her up and down.

"I know" said Sadie, winking, Millie blushing when realizing that had been her plan after all.

They all decided to meet at Millie's house as it was most central to where they all lived. Finn arrived soon after Sadie, looking ever so slightly smarter than usual as he'd actually brushed his hair for once, or at least attempted too, wanting to impress Marina. They had grown very close and he'd asked her to be his date. She was starting to show, but that didn't bother him in the slightest, he thought she looked beautiful.

Caleb had decided to go all out and rent a limo for the whole gang so they could arrive in style, and arrived with Gaten and Noah already in tow. They had become heart-throbs for most of the girls, and some of the guys, in the school after they found out how far they'd gone to support Millie and had their pick of dates, but decided instead to go in a group, maybe picking up some partners when they got there.

"Gang's all here" stated Kelly, smiling, getting the camera ready. "Come on everyone, picture time."

Millie rolled her eyes, "so embarrassing" she muttered under her breath.

"Heard that young lady" said Kelly, pretending to look unimpressed but unable to suppress a smirk. "Right, I need the whole gang, then cheesy couple pictures...come on, limo's waiting, start posing!" After pictures and hugs from Kelly, they escaped as quickly as possible to the limo.

"This is gonna be awesome" exclaimed Caleb. Everyone just looked at him, surprised by his enthusiasm.

"You mean this 'cheesy school crap' is gonna be awesome?" asked Noah in mock innocence, remembering Caleb's words from lunch a couple of weeks ago. He whacked Noah in the arm, "man, stop killing my arm, one day it's just going to drop off!" he exaggerated, making everyone roll their eyes.

"It's what you get for stirring" stated Millie, "and don't think I've forgotten your comment either, maybe tonight I'll show you what a drama queen I can be!" she added threateningly, everyone laughing.

Sadie knew that Millie was feeling self-conscious, and was clearly putting up a front, so decided to make her feel better. Whispering quietly enough so that only she could hear, "drama queen, no...but you'll be my prom queen for sure." Millie's heart skipped a beat, and all she could do when she looked at Sadie was to blush and kiss her.

"Hey come on guys, we don't want to see that whilst we're sober" said Gaten. Millie just flipped him the bird whilst still kissing Sadie, but stopped pretty soon afterwards, feeling like everyone was watching them.

The limo ride only took 10 minutes, but by that time Noah had a dead arm, Gaten was slightly drunk, and Millie had her head in her hands, not wanting to get out at all. "Come on" said Sadie, trying to pull her out, but she wouldn't budge. Turning to the gang, Sadie said "go on, we'll catch up." Climbing back into the limo, "come on, what is it? What's wrong" she said, in a no-nonsense voice.

"I don't know...I'm just too nervous" Millie confessed.

"Seriously?" said Sadie, sounding unimpressed, "nervous? the Millie Bobby Brown who stood up in front of the whole school and told them her life story, her deepest darkest secrets, is nervous? Do you realize what an idiot you sound like right now?"

"Hey! Isn't my girlfriend supposed to support me when I feel shitty?"

"Yes...most of the time...but I only get one shot at senior prom, so if you're not coming then I'll just have to party with someone else tonight" she stated, watching out of the corner of her eyes as Millie's head shot up and her eyes narrowed. Suppressing a smirk, she carried on "yeah, you know Caroline? that tall, gorgeous blonde? she was trying to flirt with me last week, so...yeah...see ya" she added, getting out of the car.

Millie knew exactly what Sadie was doing but she couldn't help feel a surge of jealousy. Scrambling out of the limo she took only a few seconds to catch up to her and grab her hand, "I know what you did, you...you!" and she saw Sadie grin triumphantly. As they were making their way to the table the gang had secured they did unfortunately run into the very same Caroline, Sadie going bright red upon seeing her after telling Millie what really had actually occurred the week before.

"Hey Sadie" she said innocently, "you look nice." Millie just stood there in silence, trying to suppress an evil glare.

"Um, yeah, thanks...you too" said Sadie glancing at her hand, realizing Millie's grip on it had tightened.

Caroline followed Sadie's eyes and saw them holding hands, her eyes widened ever so slightly in realization, "well" she said, feeling awkward now, "I'd better get back to my friends" she said immediately after glancing at Millie's face.

Once she'd walked off, Millie started leading Sadie away from the dance. "Hey, where are we going!?" asked Sadie, almost jogging to keep up with Millie. When they reached a deserted corridor, Millie turned and, pushing Sadie against the wall, started kissing her hard. "What are yo..." is as far as Sadie got before she couldn't help but lose herself in whatever this was. She couldn't help but let out a quiet moan when Millie eventually started tracing kisses down her neck, till she reached her collar bone.

After a couple of minutes Millie broke away, giving Sadie an intense look, "please don't speak to her again." Sadie just nodded, unable to properly gather her thoughts.

Millie tried to lead her back to the dance, but when she didn't move said "you aren't coming back?"

Sadie looked her in the eye, "you can't kiss me like that and expect me to just be able to walk back in...I need a few minutes" she said bluntly, looking down, "I don't think you realize the effect you have on me" she confessed.

Millie just looked embarrassed, "sorry" she mumbled.

"No...no...it's not a bad thing, not at all, but maybe next time we can be alone somewhere, like, properly alone, and...and not stop" she said, looking at Millie sheepishly.

Millie just looked at her nervously, "yeah, um, I think we should talk about that" she stuttered.
