Walking up to her locker, Em took out her books for the last period. The day had been really good; she had neither encountered Kelly nor Peter, who'd been absent from the Lunch table. She'd also cut the classes she had with Peter and Kelly, which meant four periods out of nine. She'd never done this before, but she was really desperate.

Now, last class was Physics, which she hated, even though she got an A in it.

Just as she closed her locker door, out came in view Kelly, who sauntered over with her two sidekicks, Denise and Aura. It was kind of creepy; three blond girls with caked on makeup who looked alike. It was like the beginning of a horror movie, and unfortunately, Em was the 'helpless' victim. She mentally groaned.

"Well, hello, bitch." Kelly spit out. Seriously? She had the audacity to call her a bitch?

"Excuse me?" Em replied calmly. She had been waiting for this the whole day.

"What? Did you think you would get away with ruining my Dolce&Gabanna dress? Do you have any idea how much it was worth?"

"Well, Kelly, I don't, and I don't care, and you deserved it."

"What? I what? You-"

"You and I both know you were wrong in doing what you were doing. I said it then, I'll say it again. Not a move, ok? Because I meant what I said. You will suffer if anything happens between Peter and me, you get it?"

A small crowd gathered around them, but Em didn't pay attention. Instead, she looked down into Kelly's blue eyes.

"Leave, Riker. I have cucumber juice in my bag, you don't want me to ruin your whatever brand dress again, right?"

Kelly widened her eyes and left, pushing people out of her way while many started calling her OJ Baby. If Em hadn't been in a bad mood, she might have laughed.

Turning around, she walked with her head down, until she slammed into a very familiar person.

She looked up and bit her tongue not to let out a squeak. Surprise, it was Peter (not).

He was silent, his face expressionless. Em wanted him to have some feeling, anything, rather than this horrible nothing.

"Um, h-hey." She stuttered.

"Hi." He said simply, still staring at her intensely.

"Um, what are you doing here?" She said stupidly.

"Hmm, let me guess. Right, I'm a student here, and I don't skip. So I'm in school." He rolled his eyes.

"G-great. Well, see you soon." She started passing him by, only to have his arm at her elbow, stopping her. She couldn't budge at all. She just stood there after futile attempts.

"Just so I can have some peace of mind," he murmured, just for her ears, "how long are you going to avoid me?" She could hear the hurt in his voice, and something started to tear her heart a little.

"Peter, I..."

Then she noticed some people staring at the two of them, and she straightened up. Her relationship wasn't a show of entertainment for other people.

"Not here, someplace else." She murmured back.

He raised his eyebrows, and a tiny smile crept on his lips. Slipping his hand into hers, he took her to wherever he wanted. Em just looked down, not wanting other people to look at her. When they stopped, she realized they were at an empty part of the school, the back part. There was nothing but some manicured wilderness (if that made sense) and a strange, dark grey door leading to somewhere.
