Rivalries

Personally, I believe there is a God. I believe in the God of the holy bible.

I have nothing against anyone who doesn't agree with me, and I respect what you believe in. Please do not be angry at anything that I write, I am only expressing my thoughts.

But still feel free to leave a comment on anything! ;)

Anyways, I heard a song on the radio today called Beautiful Name. One of the lyrics talking about God says

You have no rival,
You have no equal,
Now and forever God, You reign.

And that got me to thinking, since God (or at least the God of the Holy Bible, who I believe in) is all-knowing, and knows everything, like every strand of hair that will fall from your head to every person that will be murdered, then does he make our lives?

Okay, to clear it up more, God knows every second that will happen to every person every day. He knows when a person will die before their mother is pregnant. He knows the number of all the stars, and all the grains of sand.

So if he knows all that, then who is the creator of our future?

For every book there is an author. Say a book is the story of my life. God knows every word of the book, but did he write it? Did God choose who will spend eternity in hell?

If not, then that song is wrong. If God doesn't write our story, and someone or something else does, then God does have a rival. Then He does have an equal.

But if not, and God is the one writing our story, then why didn't he write us all a happy ending?

I want a happy ending with God in heaven for eternity, and I hope against hope that I will go to heaven. I know I don't deserve it, but that's another story.

So does God have a rival?
