"Daddy we've got a song for you!" Angelo grabbed onto his dad's hand and dragged him to the studio room. Ben had just arrived at your home. You noticed he entered but you kept your distance away from him; he was aware of that. "We've been practicing for the last two months," James plucked a few chords from his guitar.

Angelo was at the piano. "It's not perfect but at least it's something," James smiled at his dad. "Mummy also helped us," Angelo pipped in. Ben anticipated the song his kids prepared for him while you stood at the door frame. "Mummy can you help me sing it," James enquired.

You smiled at your son and grabbed a chair; you sat in between the piano and James; he played the guitar. James began to play the chords of the guitar letting the rhythm start.

"I met you in the dark, you lit me up
You made me feel as though I was enough
We danced the night away, we drank too much
I held your hair back when
You were throwing up"

Each one began to play their instrument as the three of you sang along to the lyrics. James and Angelo mostly mumbled and hummed since they were concentrating on their instrument. You nipped at your lower lip at the pause.

"Then you smiled over your shoulder
For a minute, I was stone-cold sober
I pulled you closer to my chest
And you asked me to stay over
I said, I already told ya
I think that you should get some rest"

You didn't want to make any eye contact with Ben. It's been three months since you've actually talked to him. He was away for some business now he was back. During the time he was away, you kept yourself awake at night thinking about your feelings.

"I knew I loved you then
But you'd never know
'Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go
I know I needed you
But I never showed
But I wanna stay with you until we're grey and old
Just say you won't let go
Just say you won't let go"

Ben clapped his hands as the twins finished playing their instrument. They only knew the first part of the song. They proudly smiled at their dad and hugged you. "How did we do mummy?" Angelo questioned. "Amazing. See I told you, practice makes perfect," you ruffled their hair.

James did an awkward signal towards his brother and they both dashed out of the room closing the door behind them. You sighed and averted your gaze from Benedict's. "What's going on?" He enquired. "Nothing," you blandly responded while getting up. He got ahold of your hand before you could exit the studio, "I know those signs."

"What signs?" You acted like you didn't know what he was talking about. "Really? So you haven't tried to avoid me during the last five minutes I was here. Or ever since I sang you the song at my flat?" He let go of you. "You're hallucinating," you scoffed and exited the room. Ben made sure the twins weren't at the stairs.

He went to the kitchen where you were at. "What did you feel when I sang the song to you?" You shook your head and lightly laughed, "Are you my psychologist now?" To avert the conversation you put on some light music, but that didn't stop him. "Y/n please tell me," Ben begged.

You shrugged him off, "Tell you what?" He pressed his hand against his mouth and rubbed it down, "Are you confused?" You gazed up to see his beautiful eyes, "Why should I be confused?" He got up from the chair he sat on and went to your side, "Because you don't know if you love me or not?"

Your eyes slightly grew wider but you collected your composure; you wanted to deny his allegations but you couldn't. "Or are you unsure?" He scooted closer to you. "Ben drop it," you put your hand up to stop him. "Am I making you nervous?" His baritone voice questioned.
