I did what Taehyung suggested and stayed away from the boys for a few days. I wasn't planning on talking with Yoongi until his gig on the 6th. But that was still a week away so I had time to sulk and be dramatic alone.
I went out to eat a few times with Ji Ho and Hyejin, happy that they reunited as well, but they deemed hard to pull away from their own activities. So for the most part, it was just me and Chico. Like now.
We were at the dog park with the new frisbee I bought him. A few other dogs stole Chico's thunder a few times since Chico was new to this little activity but when Chico finally caught on, he was able to scare off the other dogs. I was proud of my little Chico, even if he wasn't all the small nowadays.
"You missed.." I sighed, forcing a smile as he dropped the frisbee. "What are you doing? Get it together."
He picked up the frisbee and ran it back to me, dropping it at my feet and panting hard.
"Get it together, man." I patted his head.
He stared at me a while before jogging back out a little ways, looking back, and waiting. I picked up the frisbee and stared at it awhile. Can I be a dog? His only worries are so minor.. I shrugged and threw the frisbee once more.
He jogged around and caught it easily. But instead of bringing it back like he usually did, he sat down in the grass with it and relaxed. I pulled my hood over my head and walked over to him, shoving my hands into my pockets. I want spring to come faster.. But then again, that is even more months that must pass and even less time I have with the boys.
I gave a huff and grabbed the frisbee. "Come on, let's get home. You're tired."
Clipping the leash back onto his collar, I lead him out of the dog park only to run into the one person I didn't want to see.
How did Yoongi figure out I was here? What does he want?
He stepped in my way and stared at me with lazy eyes. "Lucky guess."
Great, he's a mind reader now too. Just what I need.
I met his gaze with hostility. Fuck off. I don't want to deal with you until I have to.
He winced back under my gaze. "Can we talk?"
"No thanks." I stepped passed him and walked off with Chico, well aware of his presence still as he followed me.
"Please? I believe I have some things to apologize for and explain." He jogged up to walk beside me but I still didn't spare him a glance.
"I don't want to talk about anything. Just let me do what you told me to do. I'm not ready to talk to you." I sighed. "Call me childish if you want but I'm perfectly reasonable in my head."
"I never called you childish! You have every right to be mad and hurt by what I said. That's why I'm trying to talk to you!"
"But I don't want to talk about it right now."
"Hana.." He grasped my hand and pulled me back.
I tore my hand from his and glared at him again. "Stop it. I told you that I don't want to talk. Can't you respect that? How about you stay the hell away from me for a while?"
There was no emotion on his face but I could see the flicker of hope completely vanish from his eyes as they grew cold and dark. He took a step back and nodded, slightly. "Fine. Just know that I tried to fix things."
I stood my ground as he turned around and walked back to the park, getting in his car from the lot, and driving off. Why didn't you try more..? I would've given up my pride for you if you tried some more..
