Chapter 5 Who's my Boss?

"Jayde, time to wake up! Jonathan will be here at any moment to take us to work." Abigail said to her trying to wake her up from a sound sleep. "As soon as your dressed and ready come down."

This was the first time she realized that Abigail and Jonathan had two levels to their apartments. Kitchen, living room, bathroom and study on the first floor with 3 bedrooms on the second floor.

Jayde came down and ate. "Abigail is my new boss nice? What if he doesn't like my work? What is his full name?"

"JP is really nice and understanding. He will absolutely love your work. And you'll know his full name when you see him." Abigail said.

"Awe please Abby? Please-"

"Good morning Jayde and Abigail." Jonathan said strolling into the room.

"Morning Jonathan!" Jayde said really enthusiastic.

"Good morning. What were you girls talking about?"

"Who J-" Abigail almost said but Jayde spoke before she could finish her sentence.

"Nothing." Jayde said quickly embarrassed.

They got to the car and the entire ride was silent.

"Why don't you girls go in and Abby can you talk to Kaleb and get Jayde a security badge?"

"Sure!"

"I will see you both later." Jonathan said driving off to find his parking spot.

"Hey Kaleb, this is Jayde Carter. JP's new personal assistant. Can you get her a security card?"

"Sure Miss Tyler. "

"Jayde meet the head of our security, Kaleb Bryant. Austin and Logan are his best friends. He's practically family."

"Hello Mr. Bryant."

"You can call me Kaleb. All of the Tyler's do."

Jayde smiled at Kaleb. He was laid back and kept looking at Abigail. Abigail didn't seem to notice though.

"Miss Carter, can you stand by that wall so I can take a picture for your security badge?" Jayde did as Kaleb had asked.

Jayde and Abigail were headed up to the top floor. The number 30 flashed in the elevator and they walked out of the elevator.

They went to an office door that had Mr. Tyler on the door. Abigail knocked and a couple of seconds later they heard a "come in."

Jayde couldn't help but notice that the voice was familiar so they went in.

"Hello Jayde." She looked up and was shocked. The person in front of her was none other than Jonathan Tyler. He turned to Abigail and said "Thank you Miss Tyler. Would you mind seeing yourself out?"

"Have a great day Miss Carter!" Abigail said as she left.

"Miss Carter, when we are at work or on business trip you will call me Mr. Tyler. Away from work you can call me Jonathan or JP. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Mr. Tyler."

"Can you bring me coffee black and then can you put the 400 files in these three boxes in alphabetical order?"

"Yes Mr. Tyler."

She said grabbing one of the boxes of of his desk.

---JONATHAN'S POV---

As soon as Jayde had walked into my office I knew that she didn't know that I was JP Tyler. I also knew that she would want to know why I didn't go by Jonathan Tyler in the business world.

"Mr. Tyler? Where is my desk?" Jayde asked me a little hesitant. She looked nervous. She was so cute when she was nervous. She would bite her lower lip.

"Oh fallow me. I will also show you were the coffee is located at. Since it's not on this floor." I grabbed the last two boxes and showed her to her office. The door didn't have a name on it yet. I have to remind my self to ask her how she would like her name. I put the two boxes on her desk and she put the last on on her desk.

We headed to the elevator. We went to the 28th floor. Jayde and I got off and went into the lounge room. "I don't use cream and surface because-"

"It dilutes the effect of the coffee." Jayde finished for me.

"You take your's black also?" I asked.

"Yes."

We went back to 'our floor' and went our separate ways.

I look at the clock and realize what time it is. All of the sudden I get a text message.

FROM: ELIJAH HARRISON TYLER

TEXT: Hey bro! Gherrett, Logan, Austin and I are meeting for a late lunch. Care to join us? We'll be at Jaren's Diner in 30. EJ Tyler

TO: ELIJAH HARRISON TYLER

TEXT: Sure! I might bring company. See you soon. JP

I went to see if Jayde had eaten yet. I walked into her office. "Have you eaten lunch yet Miss Carter?"

She jumped. She looked over to me. "No. What time is it?"

"3:30. Would you like to join me and several of my brothers for lunch?" I asked praying that she would say 'yes'.

"Sure. I was starting to get hungry." Jayde said smiling she got up and went to grab her jacket an purse.

We stepped into the elevator. We then walked to my car and got it and drove away.
