• Demi's POV •
After Rips lecture to the team, everyone left the bridge except for me. Rip went back to repairs and didn't seem to notice my presence. I zoned out until Gideon spoke up.
Ms Queen I would advise you to return to the MedBay. It seems you stitches aren't fully intact anymore.
Rip turned his head around and finally noticed me. I sent Rip a smirk and he just shook his head and laughed. I sighed at Gideon and responded.
"Thank you Gideon for the concern but i'm fine."
"Demi, you really should go" Rip said with concern now laced in his words.
"Rip i'm fine, if the pain gets worse i'll go" I smiled and walked over to him.
I put my hand on his shoulder to try to regain balance and I could tell he flinched at my touch.
"Do you need any help?"
"Maybe you could help me. Would you please go get me the tablet on my desk in the office, Demi."
"Of course" I said while walking over there.
"Rip is this a manual to the ship" I asked while looking at the information on the tablet.
"Indeed it is, Ms Queen."
I glared at him and he mouthed sorry. I walked over to him and handed him the tablet. Our hands briefly touched and I felt sparks erupt throughout my body. I just shook it off and walked over to his office again. Once I got there, the pain from the stitches came back. I held my stomach and tried to hold back a groin, but ultimately failed. Rip turned his head around and locked eyes with mine. He broke the stare between us and saw I was holding my stomach. It didn't take him long to realize I was in pain.
"Well Demi, it seems MedBay is calling your name now" he said while rushing over to me.
"I'm fine Rip, I've been through a lot worse."
"I don't doubt that Demi, but please let me escort you to the MedBay so Gideon and fix your stitches."
"Fine, you win" I said while wincing.
I started to walk but when I got to the entrance of the office I stopped and leaned against the wall because it became even more painful. Rip was watching me intently the whole time and when he saw me lean against the wall he picked me up bridal style and carried me to the MedBay. I dug my face into his brown trench coat and stayed in that position until we got there.

• 3rd Person POV •
Rip saw Demi bury her face in his coat as he rushed her to the MedBay. He knew Gideon would help her but he was still concerned.
"Demi stay with me" He whispered loud enough for her to hear.
"I'm trying Rip" Demi responded scarily quiet.
Once they reached the MedBay he laid her carefully onto the bed. Gideon gave Demi a sedative for the pain, which resulted in her losing conciseness. Gideon began to repair her stitches while Rip paced around the room.
"Gideon I'm going to continue with repairs. Would you please inform me when Ms Queen regains consciousness?"
Of course Captain Hunter.
"Thank you."
Rip walked over to Demi before he left the MedBay. He debated whether or not to do this, but for once he let his heart decide the answer. He leaned down and pressed his lips against her forehead gently. Rip then leaned back and left the room swiftly to return to his repairs on the Waverider with a smirk plastered over his face.

Demi regained consciousness about ten minutes after Rip left the MedBay.
Ms Queen I'm glad your awake. Captain Hunter wanted me to inform him when the sedative wore off. I figured you would like to go tell him yourself.
"Thanks Gideon, do you know where Rip--the Captain is? Sorry I'm used to calling him by his first name."
It's completely fine Ms Queen. I know of your fondness for each other. Captain Hunter is on the main bridge talking to Ms Saunders.
"Once again, thank you Gideon. Also I wouldn't call what me and Rip have a fondness. It's more like a friendship."
It seems the Captain wouldn't quite agree with you on that. When you were unconscious, he kissed your forehead.
"Wait he did what" I asked while blushing profusely.
Do you need me to repeat myself?
"No, no. It's fine" I said while still blushing.
"Thank you Gideon. For everything. Also call me Demi, I hate formalities."
Of course, Demi.
Demi walked out of the MedBay still confused about the information Gideon told her. She wondered if Rip felt the same as her. She shook off the feeling of butterflies in her stomach and kept walking. Demi assumed he didn't feel the same and continued on her way to the bridge.
