This day couldn't get any more worse.
Alania thought bitterly, pushing herself up. She's now on her fours before sitting down and rubbing the side of her forehead. She winced when she touched the left side.
It seems she had a scratch.
The laugh ended with a clear of a throat from behind.
She took a deep breath of the fresh air around her. Well, not that fresh because karma seemed to be not on her side, and now she's sitting on her feet, with the source of smell also being the source of her fall.
"Had fun running like a maniac?" Derek taunted, with her feeling him kneel infront her.
Alania closed her eyes, just wishing that the tree had somewhat a hole she could fit in through and just live with the Queen of Hearts for the rest of her life.
But no, the people above seemed to be against her wishes now, and she's still beside the now stinky Derek. Seems like they're against her, and would only grant a wish that would not help her at all.
She opened her eyes, wincing when she saw the ugliness before her.
There was this awful color -moldy type of green?- on Derek's face (put together with his frown) and some food that was probably the reason why it's not in that specific person's stomach anymore.
Derek must've saw her wince because his frown just deepened, before a scowl took over his face.
"First, you eavesdrop on my conversation with my mother. Second, you deliberately attacked me with a plastic filled with vomit and a stone, which by the way I have a scratch on my forehead now thank you very much. Third, you run away, only to get caught by your victim, and your character now becomes an abductor-turned-victim. And all you could do is wince? Wow, what a nice girlfriend you are." He ended with a dark smile on his face.
Of course, Alania was rendered speechless. Because for one, that was the longest he ever said to her. And two, the balls this guy has!
"Well then, you must be a nicer boyfriend for not talking to me for three whole weeks." She blurted.
Which she then regretted because someone must have possessed her at that short amount of time, and now Derek had a big frown on his face that seems to only grow deeper.
The situation was serious, that much was known. But because vomit was spread all over Derek's face, Alania couldn't help but snort, which then earned her a glare from the guy infront.
-------Derek was thinking thoughtfully for an answer to that.
And what could he say to a girl he asked to be his, who he then proceed to ignore for three whole weeks. Nothing.
He was about to open his mouth when Alania spoke up.
"I'm sorry. Forget I ever said anything."
She looked genuinely bashful to her actions earlier.
And that shocked Derek because he expected this. No, he expected more. A sudden lash to him, a berate for humiliating her, a slap, a kick, or just anything to hurt him.
And then he remembered what happened earlier and the situation his body is in now. And his scowl returned.
That was probably her revenge. Intentional or not.
He took a deep breath before standing up and offered his hand to her.
Alania only looked at it hesitantly, to which he rolled his eyes at.
