Chapter 8

Manik waited for Nandini at her doorstep and as she came, he gave her a bouquet of white roses and she took it from smelling them she wondered what suddenly happened to the bossy guy and since when does her boss started to act like this.

Its been a week since her boss everyday gives her a bouquet of white roses and buys her breakfast every single day. She is enjoying this attention but what irritates her the most is he still doesn't answer her question. He has done everything a normal man would do and Nandini too now looks up to him sending these roses.

They both are slowly moving forward from their boss-employee equation.

There was once a time when Nandini asked why white roses and Manik looked at her and gave a bright smile asking "so, you want red roses, haan?" Nandini then gave him a look that shut his laughter down and moved away from him slowly.

Nandini and Manik were getting ready for the meet that will be happening for the celebration of new product launch and media will be there which is why Manik would have to have some partner around him and therefore he very generously told Nandini his problem who agreed.

Manik looked at Nandini who was helping him with a bit of makeup for his left cheek that she slapped. Why?

Because he saw her naked!

Stark naked!

Bare!

He entered her dressing room because of some misunderstanding made by the saleswoman and that was not even worse. What was worse is when he entered, he had the audacity to stop to give her a once over and said "Wow!"

Wow!

Lecher‼!

Nandini looked at him and shouted and slapped him hard on his face and kicked him out. He wasn't ashamed, not at all.

He was in daze as he looked at her again and heat warmed through her cheeks and her face turned as red as possible. She wasn't happy!

Manik looked at her again and finally sighing, he apologized but it wasn't sincere at all, for all he knows he won't get such a chance again before she gives him green light, that was basically amazing and he is man, okay! You can't be expecting him to not like the girl he loves stark naked. That would be idiotic.

"I want to eat you..." Manik said it as soon as he looked at her and Nandini scowled at him and said "just some time ago you were asking for a wooing chance, why the hell are you now behaving like a lecher!"

Manik looked at her from top to bottom and wondered for a while before smiling showing his teeths and said "because it would be idiotic."

"what would be idiotic?" Nandini asked.

Manik moved forward till he was just one step away and bend his head down till her ear and whispered "it won't be real if I won't be me around you."

Nandini leaned back and looked at him gazing at her with a smirk and just huffed saying "you don't deserve any sort of respect from me for being a lecher."

I almost thought he isn't a Casanova.

Manik smiled at Nandini and pulled her towards him and said "I'll be as real as possible with you, so, you know what to expect from me when we get together. I believe in compromise Nandini, I don't think changing is a good thing. Changes occur themselves without you knowing, habits are made without any idea of it happening."

Nandini looked at him and just corrected his tie and checked herself in the mirror before both of them left for the party.

"Hi." Nandini turned to look at the guy who smiled at her and gave a smile in return and both hit pretty well. Conversing about technology was something Nandini enjoyed and the guy seemed intent on knowing about technology making her feel great as she could converse about her favourite subject.

Suddenly she felt something was off about the surrounding as everything suddenly felt chill to her, a shiver ran down her spine making her tremble in fear. She turned and saw his eyes on her, bloodshot red and then he stalked towards them and finally reached her. She looked at him and then turned back to see the guy she was talking to missing.

He smiled at her and held her hand in his only to pull her closer and took her to dance floor with him.

"had fun?" Manik asked with a little smile.

"I did, we spoke about technology." Nandini winced when she realised she just explained him about the matter.

"oh, its your favourite subject." Manik stated and Nandini looked at him surprized.

"you know?" questions put forward.

"I know, I noticed." Manik looked at her to see a little hope which he couldn't decipher.

" what else did you... noticed?" she smiled at him and he finally had an eased-up expression and he started to tell what he noticed.

"you don't like lilies; you are allergic to it. I noticed you sneezing around it a lot and therefore forbidden anything with the smell of lilies. I noticed you like your coffee super sweet and your eyes have a colour of black but if noticed carefully, it also has some brown in it. You like pizza a lot. You ate that a lot in a month. There are many things I noticed but I fear you'd slap me if I tell you those." Nandini scowled at him but a little smile appeared on her lips and they continued chatting and slowly but steadily the equation of hate changed into that of friendship.
