Chapter 12

"you know, it means a lot to me." Manik said reaching her door as she ran inside and closed the door before he could reach her. Nandini slid down the door with her hand on her chest and other in fist. Manik looked at the closed door and smiled while keeping his hand on the door from other side. "I can feel you." This line threw Nandini's little heart in a speed jerk causing her smile to tremble too close to surface. Her thoughts finally reached her like a web and that made her feel crazy for how beautiful she felt when he tried to make it all seemed to worth.

She felt herself believing a family she has out there which scared her as well as a feeling of relief, a bliss rode her and she came around so soon surprised her.

Manik who was bending over the door slid down till on his knees and he finally let out a shaky breath and said "I guess I have the right to see you, hug you and kiss you and be lecher to you..."

Nandini pulled the door open standing and as she did Manik looked up still on his knees and Nandini bend her head to peck his lips before saying "only to me..."

Manik was about to say something when she closes the door and something in Manik shook for he knew that these emotions and feelings from a familial person are shocking her but she is coming around and he doesn't mind if she needs more time. He has as much time as she expects from him on his sleeves and he doesn't mind her using that time for as long as wished for herself. Of course, the result should be in his pocket and her hand in his hand as well.

Manik leaves in his car and he don't know how, when but he reached home and slept like a baby and when he woke up in the morning, he was late, for the very first time in his life. He looked around him and got ready.

"hi girlfriend." Manik said as soon as he reached and smiled at Nandini watching her walk with him but she faltered as soon as she heard the word and he frowned watching her faltering steps and stopped all of a sudden.

"what is it?" Manik asked as he turned to watch her face.

Nandini who was apparently in shock because of him now looked at him face before signalling him of others that were noticing all of it happening and that got his attention. She was now imagining him to walk away keep his image and she believed he would do just that but when has Manik Malhotra followed the rules and he didn't.

Manik looked around and then at his watch and at Nandini before pulling her in his arms eliciting a gasp of shock from her and some squeals of wonder from others.

"and I should give a flying fuck about these people because?" Manik clenched his jaw as he saw her trying to pull away from him.

"because you should?" Nandini stated but it came out like a question she wasn't willing to ask.

"let me try to pretend. I am pretending I give some shit and I am still trying to... oh! Sorry I can't!" Manik shouted at her and then he turned around to face other and held Nandini by her hand to pull her straight by his side and said "meet this person here. Nandini Kapoor, my fiancé and you all are invited to our wedding which is going to be held in a month. Please do come and bless us."

Saying his piece Manik pulled Nandini and walked to his office.

Nandini finally as they reached his office reacted by smacking his hand away from her hand and pushing him till his back touched the desk in the middle while shouting at him. "what the hell Manik? How can you just do that without my permission! Actually, not just permission but without informing me or telling me! What am I, huh? Your property!"

Manik who was listening to her shouts got tired and pulled her till every part of her touched his and he said "yes. I don't need your permission because apparently you still haven't made your mind and I don't have interest in waiting that long. You agreed yesterday to me and now, you are pulling back withdrawing and what's bad in announcing our relationship which will eventually lead to marriage? What's so bad about this that makes you not approve of me in public? Do I bring some kind of shame to you?!"

With all the screaming going on entered Cabir with a very red face and he clapped his hands and sneered at Manik before pulling Nandini behind him and glaring at Manik.
