Chapter 24

Nandini looked at Manik as they prepared the speeches of vows to be said on the day of wedding ceremony.

They both have been preparing this from a while and decided that they would prepare the speech while looking at each other because when one could see the face of his lover in front of his eyes, then only the vows that comes from your mouth will be the words of your heart.

Nandini smiled as she wrote her vows and looked at Manik who was staring at her wrapping up her paper.

"You didn't wrote anything?" Nandini looked at Manik's paper and wondered out loud.

"I forgot to write when I looked at you." Manik said while valiantly staring at her.

"..." Nandini don't know if she should be angry or should she just stay calm and collected.

"Manik, complete your speech. Right now." Nandini gave her orders and turned his face to the paper.

Manik picked his pen and started writing while stopping in the middle to think and take a look at her.

He smiled as soon as he took her features in and completed the speech.

"Done." Manik smiled and put his paper in his pocket.

Nandini smiled at this and said "Now, we can only meet tomorrow at noon at the time of our wedding. Be ready to get clean bowled by the bride." She giggled as she strike out a pose.

Manik laughed and said "surely, the groom will be waiting."

"I am not looking nice..." Nandini said outloud as she looked at herself in the mirror feeling something a miss.

The stylists all looked at her form in the mirror while wondering if any screw is lost in her head because if this isn't beautiful then they need to revisit the definition of beautiful.

Hourglass figure wrapped in snow flakes design on net of the mermaid style outfit. The snow flakes looked alive as she twirled a bit to see what was missing and as soon as she twirled, the door to the room opened and her mother in law entered with Manik's cousin.

"Wonderful! You look wonderful!" Manik's mother exclaimed as she saw Nandini making her blush and smile at them when she realised what was missing.

Manik's cousin came forward as she showed a blue hair pin for Nandini to attack to her hairs. "It's a heirloom that has been passed down in the malhotra family with some other jewellery. Please wear it."

Nandini took the heirloom in her hand and smiled as she stared at the beautiful pin and thanked Tina.

She handed the heirloom to the stylist who helped her hairs with it.

She smiled as she was ready to run to Manik now. Beautiful and perfect.

Cabir came knocking at the door to take her to the altar or else her groom might be the one escorting her to his own self.

"Shall we, dear sister?" Cabir asked as he forwards his elbow for her to hold.

Nandini stepped forward to hold his elbow and left with him to reach the one person she wants to hold with in her eyes and arms.

Nandini looked ahead to see Manik who forwarded his head to take her from Cabir who deliberately didn't gave it to him at first which caused Manik to pull her to him glaring at Cabir.

Everybody around laughed and the priest coughed a bit and said "The bride and groom are here now. The wedding ceremony of Nandini Dhawan and Manik Malhotra will commence now. If anyone has any problem with it, do come forward." Nobody said anything and waited for the ceremony to start.

The priest then started the ceremony as he asked them to say their vows.

"The god was once afraid of how strong a pair of man and woman is together which was the reason why we met later to be each other's soulmate. Let him be afraid for I can't allow you to leave me, I want to cherish you until you will forget about the word leave. I want to share every happiness and sorrow of mine with you. I want to stay with you even in my last breath and after as well." Manik said as his eyes never strayed away from her face and Nandini smiled at him with teary eyes and nodded at him when he completed his vows.

"I was all alone in a world of my own but then you walked in with all the devilish charm of yours and startled me out of my own world. You walked in my life, my heart and taught me how to walk together with someone. I dont wish to walk alone anymore, wherever you go is where I'll go from now on. Mine is yours and yours is mine. We are one and together. That's how we will exist from now on." Nandini smiled as she completed and looked towards the people who attended her wedding while her gaze flew to the person she was waiting for–Sana Mother.
