Chapter 13

"how could you?!" Cabir shouted at Manik while holding Nandini close to him as if hiding her from Manik, so that he couldn't take her away from him.

Nandini who looked shocked from Cabir's entry was even more shocked that Cabir could shout at Manik like that. Till now she has spent some time with him to know his behaviour and Cabir doesn't have a bone to get angry over anything. He gets angry rarely and also if he gets angry, he doesn't go all caveman like Manik at all.

"what the hell are you doing here Cabir?" Manik squeezed the words out of his clenched teeth and looked at Cabir with bloodshot eyes because of how angry he was right now.

"you are marrying my sister!" Cabir shouted this while patting his sister's head like a good-old brother.

"yes, I am, so?" Manik asked genuinely confused as to why would Cabir shout over this thing. Didn't he know from the start that he is planning to marry Nandini and why the hell is he keeping her away from him, as if he is some bacteria that has to be kept away from his sister.

"Manik! How... you bastard! You are marrying my sister without mine or even her permission!" Cabir shouted keeping a hand on his chest for some calm feeling while Nandini patted his arm holding him so that he can breathe easily and calmly.

Manik who finally understood that what he did was wrong but he couldn't keep his possessive instinct to bind her to him at bay got to him at that time but no matter how many times this situation gets repeated his choice at that point of moment won't change. She is his and she has to agree.

"Nandini, lets go. You are not working here anymore." Cabir spoke and pulled Nandini out of the office when she stopped him and pulled away from him causing Cabir to move towards her but she held her hand up for him to stop and step away from her.

"Do you guys consider me a part of your family at all? If you do, I don't feel it at all. Manik ordered me around and my own brother ordered and decided for me but I was supposed to be aware of it. Why?" Nandini questioned as she was also emotionally racked today and it broke her that her brother doesn't care about what she felt.

Manik who was behind her held her hand and went on his knees. "I know I was wrong but I won't apologize. You didn't want me to acknowledge our relation and you stopped me from saying it at all and you also didn't try to help me with it. You just kept away from me. Why?" he was desperate to talk to her in the morning when he met her but she pointed that they are around people spooked him real bad for he always wanted to acknowledge their relation and now that she has agreed to be his yesterday night, he wants to do that now.

"but you didn't even ask for my opinion." Nandini looked at Manik who just sighed and nodded. "I know and I didn't because I was angry. I won't apologize because I always wanted to acknowledge our relation now that I have it. And you have agreed to be with me to bear me."

"did you ask me for marriage?" Nandini again questioned and Manik shook his head stating "but we will eventually get married because as I told you that it isn't some one-time thing or try and error thing for me. I've had my own share of these thing but with you I want my forever and I am going to get it."

"do you value my wishes even one bit?" Nandini tiredly asked when Manik nodded his head and said "of course, you matter the most here."

Nandini then held the hand that was holding hers and pulled away from him and shouted "when did you cared about them and where did they matter?!"

"where do I matter Manik? Where? You shouted to the whole world before asking me, fated me with you before asking my wish. I know I should feel happy that you acknowledge me but wouldn't it feel much better if you would ask me how I feel about it? I pointed at others because they would make fun of my hard work now. They are going to say that I gave you some benefits to reach here! Nothing of my hard work matters."

Manik looked at her and said "did they never said anything bad about you when you were not with me?"

Nandini looked at him and nodded "they did but it wasn't about the hard work I put in my work. I know what I am saying is idiotic Manik but still it is important to me. yes, I don't mind marrying you at one point because I know I wouldn't like anybody like I like you but that doesn't mean you can take my decisions. You said you would take it slow but I don't see where the slow part is." Manik looked at her with sad eyes.
