Chapter 11. Concern

Denim's POV

Nakatutok kaming lahat sa screen kung saan napapanuod namin yung live surveillance sa cubicle kung saan nakakulong si Alex ngayon. I am so freaking worried about her but what can I do? Sana kayanin nya.

"It'll probably take her some 5 minutes or so to break that thing. Haha poor Alexandra." - natatawang sabi ni Prof. Kira,

"I'm sure she's gonna come out totally numb and lifeless, hahaha that would be hilarious!" - nagpatuloy pa sya sa pagtawa at naiinis na ako, I feel like hitting her already until she throws up blood,

Malapit nang matapos ang oras pero hindi pa din nasisira ni Alex ang door knob, I can hear her screaming loud, she's struggling so much. I wish I can do something. She..I don't know why. She is different.

At maya-maya pa, nag-release na yung gas bomb. She ran out of time. Although it won't be dangerous for her, but she's gonna suffer a lot of pain.

"We must set her out now. She's a female. She needs to be treated differently." - sabi ko,

"She deserves to suffer." - sabi ni Llance,

"There's nothing to blame on her." - sagot ko at wala na akong nagawa kundi ang abangan si Alex na makalabas ng cubicle, nagsuot ako ng gas mask at nag-intay ako sa tapat ng pinto. I just can't endure watching her on that stupid screen

Maya-maya pa ay lumabas na si Alex. Hinang-hina sya at halos pabagsak na. I can't help but feel worried about her, I tried to reach on her but as soon as I held her arm, she fell.

Lumapit na din samin sila Llance, Raven at Prof. Kira.

"Kira, bring her to the infirmary. Let her rest, we'll continue the initiation tomorrow." - utos ni Llance, sometimes he's heartless, but all he need is something or someone that'll make him realise what's right. Someone already did...she gave him something that made him realise the right thing. That was ages ago tho. She never came back again.

Umalis na si Llance at kahit napipilitan ay sumunod na lang si Prof. Kira. Wala naman syang laban sa headmaster eh. Binuhat ko si Alex papunta sa infirmary and she's so bloody heavy. That felt like carrying 10 sacks of rice. Raven insisted to help me but I didn't let him. I knew this dude so well. A perverted jerk.

"So what time will she wake up?" - tanong ko kay Kira na ginagamot na ngayon ang sugat ni Alex sa kamay, napaisip muna sya bago sumagot,

"In approximately 4hours. She didn't inhaled much gas anyway, she's pretty good. I'm quite impressed with this b*tch." - sabi nya,

"Okay, buti naman." - sabi ko at napabuntong-hinunga ako,

"Why are you so concern tho?!" - tanong nya na pinaniningkitan pa ako ng mata,

"Wala--"

"Don't tell me you've fallen inlove for her, you d*ckhead." - pagputol nya sa sinasabi ko,

"Of course not!" - I answered defensively, "She's an important asset, sya ang tatapos sa misyong ilang taon na nating pinaghihirapan. And that's my assignment, she's on my team and therefore, I had to protect her." - paliwanag ko,

"I didn't need much explanation, you sounded defensive. Hahahaha." - she knows well how to tease me,

Nakaupo na ako ngayon sa upuang katabi ng bed ni Alex. I was just looking at her, she looks so peaceful while sleeping.

Ilang minuto pa, kinailangan ko nang umalis dahil may mga kaylangan pa akong asikasuhin.

Stay strong, Alex. I know you can do this.

Napangiti ako saka naglakad umalis.
