Ross POV

We got home from the hospital and Laura sat as far as she can away from me. She sat at the window side beside Rydel.

Ry: So.... Laura what do you want to do?
L: Just watch a movie
RL: can I watch with you guys
L: um....
RL: Laura please. I'm not going to hurt you. I promise. And I would never ever ever do anything like that.
L: How can I believe you?

Just like that we got home and Laura ran into the house and up her room. I can't believe she doesn't believe me. I go into the music room and started playing music. I wrote songs in my notebook and started singing.

When you try your best but you don't succeed. When you get what you want but not what you need. When you feel so tired but you can't sleep. Stuck in reverse. And the tears come streaming down your face. When you lose something you can't replace. When you love someone but it goes to waste. Could it be worth. Lights with guide you home. Laura smiling and clapping.

RL: hey...
L: that song was amazing.
RL: thanks.
L: Look Ross. give me a reason why I should believe you.
RL: because I love you and I would never want to hurt you. Laura I would do anything for you. Please believe me. (looks down and cries)
L: (hugs Ross) I do believe you. But I'm still scared of every guy...
RL: I promise I won't let them hurt you. My brothers and Ratliff won't hurt you either. They think of you as a little sister except for Ryland. He thinks of you as an big little sister.
L: (giggles) promise you won't let anyone hurt me
RL: I promise on my life.
L: okay (smiles & kisses Ross) can we sing another song together?
RL: yeah. wanna sing this song we wrote awhile ago?
L: sure. (plays the piano)

Ross:
I've been out on the ocean. Sailing alone travelling over. You've been running on hard ground. With just you around. Your heart beats the only sound.

Both: (glances at each other once in a while)
But I know once in awhile we will find the sound of your heartbeat with mine. And when it's time. I'll leave the ocean behind.

Laura:
So I'll look out for a lighthouse. See through the fog search the horizon. You'll be like in a movie. Where everything's dark you can see clearly now.

Both:

Laura and I have been singing all day and forgot we were suppose to watch a movie with everyone... this day was hard but it turned out to be perfect by the end of the day.
