Chapter 8: Another Mysterious Call?

•Ms Katie's Pov•
I went into the bathroom and saw Annie crying "Honey, what's wrong?" she looked at me sniffling "Mackenzie.." I opened my arms and pulled her into a hug, rubbing her back "It'll be okay, sweetie" she shook her head "No it won't! Everyone's saying that but it isn't going to be okay" she wiped her eyes, her makeup was a mess "How about you try and forget about Mackenzie and go out there and have fun? Just ignore her and pretend nothing happened until we leave, is that okay buttercup?" she looked up at me "I guess so..I'm also hungry" she giggled "I'll buy us some lunch here" she nodded and I gave her some makeup wipes and tissues and she redid her makeup. "Now let's get back out there and I'll go and order the food. You can go and sit with your father while they finish the game" we walked out and I walked her to Billy and went to go and order lunch.
•Mr Billy's Pov•
Katie walked Annie over to me and she told me everything that happened, I put my arm around Annie and rubbed her back "You're with me now, sweetheart. I won't let her come over here" she smiled up at me "So, who won Daddy?" I chuckled "Your mom and I tied, I did say she would win I was half right" she started giggling with me. The kids game finished, Caleb and Hayley came over "Annie!" they both smiled and hugged her "Your mother has gone to get you all lunch" I smiled and Hayley clapped. Katie came back with fries, chicken nuggets, two burgers and five drinks. We found a table and sat down and handed the kids their food and drinks. We all sat down and began eating. I gave the kids some money to play games at the arcade, Annie was still eating but she was heading over there once she is done. "I'll be right back, honey. Just going bathroom" she nodded and continued eating "Me too, darling" Katie kissed her forehead and went to the bathroom as well.
•Hayley's Pov•
Caleb and I were having a lot of fun playing the arcade games, hopefully Annie finishes her lunch soon so she can join us. Caleb suggested that we play air hockey and I agreed "This is gonna be fun, Bubba" I giggled and started off with the putt I hit it with my slidey thingy and it slid onto Caleb's half, just missing the goal "Nice try, Hayley" he grinned and I smiled. He hit the putt very quickly, I hit it back before he could score and he missed it, I scored "YAY! The first person who gets 7 points wins" I giggled "That was a great shot!" he smiled. By the end of the game it was 6 vs 6 the next one to score wins. I hit the putt and it missed the goal, Caleb hit it and he won. "Congrats Caleb!" I smiled and gave him a hug "Thanks Hay" he grinned, hugging me back. I looked around the arcade and saw most of the other kids who we went bowling with, they were playing arcade games too, the rest of them were eating.
•Annie's Pov•
I heard a buzzing noise I took my phone out of my pocket and it was an unknown number, I answered it anyway "Uh, hello, this is Annie. Who is it?" I waited a moment for a reply "Like I said last time, doesn't matter. Don't forget what I said last time I called you! Otherwise you'll regret it" as I was about to respond the mysterious caller hung up, I never got a call before? What was this person talking about? I sighed and continued eating my fries when I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder I turned around and it was Hayden "What do you want?" I turned my back to him and he pulled up a chair and sat infront of me "Look, I made a mistake and I'm sorry. I have no idea what got into Mackenzie she's never like this, I really like you Annie and I promise I won't hurt you again. You're my true love" he smiled and gave me a big hug "Listen Hayden, I accept your apology" than I saw Mackenzie coming "..Um..But..I can't hang out with you anymore.. it's not you, it's me.." I sighed and ran off crying before Mackenzie comments on the situation. I texted my Mom, Dad, Caleb and Hayley "I'm going to hide out in laser tag if anyone of you is looking for me. I had to run off from Hayden because of Mackenzie and ugh.. If you want you can come and join me and we'll talk about it and play laser tag.." I put my phone in my pocket and just hoped they didn't follow me, I went onto the red team and they explained the rules, I saw Caleb and Hayley come in, I smiled and they joined my team. We all went inside and began shooting the other three teams, I explained what happened to them and we continued playing, Hayley didn't comment and bit her lip, something was up "Hayley? Do you know something I don't?" she shook her head still biting her lip, I knew she was lying I'm sure she'll tell me once we get back to the hotel, I shook it off not wanting to upset her.
•Caleb's Pov•
The game finished and our team won we decided we wanted to play another game, right after we chose our team Hayden, Jojo, Mackenzie and Jayden came in. I hope Annie doesn't notice Mackenzie, I think she would be fine with Hayden as long as Kenzie isn't there, Hayden chose red and so did Jojo. Mackenzie started yelling at Jojo since she wouldn't swap teams with her, she was making a big deal over nothing. The game started and I tried to get Annie to run the opposite way to Hayden, turns out he snuck up behind us and he hugged Annie from behind "We c-can't be f-friends anymore.." she sighed and starting tearing up "Annie, why can't you be friends with me? I don't understand what I did, if you accepted my apology but we still can't be friends?" Hayden looked into Annie's eyes "You want the truth? I'm sorry but I can't tell you..it's not that I don't trust you, but I can't tell you otherwise something bad will happen to me.." she sighed and ran back to the arcade, Hayley ran after her. I pulled Hayden out by the arm and dragged him into the bathroom "What's going on with my sister?" I grabbed him by the shirt "I-I don't know, that's what I'm trying to find out. Please don't hurt me, Caleb" he covered his face and I gulped "I would never hurt anyone, even if they deserved it, unless it is unforgivable and if it is I'll do it later" I put him down and went to find my sisters. When I was looking for Annie and Hayley I found my Mom and she said we're leaving right now, we ran to the car and drove to the hotel.
•Hayden's Pov•
I was searching everywhere for either Annie, her parents or siblings, not one of them in sight. I don't understand what's happening but it's something really bad. I took out my phone and messaged Annie "Annie, I need to talk to you please. Where are you??" I waited a few minutes and got a reply, not what I was expecting "We left.. and I'm not allowed to see you again😞..I'm sorry, we're probably cutting our trip short..😕👋🏻"
I replied back straight away "NOOO! You can't, Annie please. I need you and
I love you💘" all she replied with was "🤐.." I replied again "Annie??" no reply after that, great. I told my dad we're going home now and we left, I was devastated. I told my dad everything that had happened and he seemed just as confused as me "I'm sure she just needs some time alone, son" I sighed "But I don't want to let her go.."
