I woke up feeling absolutely great. The smell of eggs and bacon filled the air. It especially smelled good because I hadn't eaten good, fresh food since I left my mom's house. I was really starting to get hungry.

I had almost forgotten about Caleb. I looked over and saw his eyes still shut. I just smiled and then slowly got out of bed and walked down the small hallway again to the kitchen. It was small, just like everything else in the house, but it was also very cozy. Grandma was standing in front of the stove, cooking bacon and eggs. On the counter, there was a skillet with pancakes cooking.

I walked over to help her, but she shook her head, "Oh Cassy! You are my guest. Let me do this for you. I promise you will love it." she said with a smile.

"Thank you," I smiled at her and then went to her small bathroom to take a shower. The hot water felt amazing on my skin. I hadn't taken a hot shower in so long. I was very thankful that Caleb had decided to take us to his Grandmother's house instead of staying in the car we had stolen.

I got out of the shower and dryed my hair. I put on clean clothes and felt better than I had in ages. Once I was ready, I left the bathroom and went to the living room to turn on the morning news.

"A car was stolen yesturday in a small town....." I didn't listen to the rest of that story. I knew that Caleb and I had stolen that car and it was on the news because of us. We had a good reason, right? We were getting chased with a gun. It was either take the car, or die. We would have to ditch the car, and soon.

Just as I was taking this all in, Caleb came walking in the room. His brown hair was messy and he looked sleepy. "Good morning," he said, like he always does.

"Morning," I said back, secretly smiling.

"Children! The food is ready!" Grandma shouted. I couldn't wait to eat her food. It smelled wonderful.

We all sat down at her kitchen table and ate our breakfast. The food was amazing, as I thought it would be. I ate everything on my plate and so did Caleb. When we were done, I went back into the kitchen to help Grandma with clean up, while Caleb went to get ready.

Grandma and I talked while we were doing dishes and I found that she was really easy to talk to. We talked mostly about Caleb and how much of a good kid he was now. She told me stories about when he was a kid and how he used to be very adventurous and got hurt a lot. We finished talking when the dishes were done, and Caleb walked out of the bathroom shortly after that.

"Ready?" he asked me and I nodded my head. I wondered where we were going but I figured that we were going to find a place to put the car.

We went outside and hopped in the car. Caleb drove around the town for about twenty minutes before stopping in an old, abandoned parking lot. It was hidden by everything and we figured it would be a good place. As soon as everything was parked, we ran as fast as we could from the car, without drawing too much attention.

The part of town that we left the car in was much rougher looking than Grandma's part of town. I wanted to get out of there, and fast. We ran as fast as we could, or at least I did, back to Grandma's house.

"Where have you kid's been?" she asked us,"Caleb, I just got off the phone with your father..."

Caleb sighed, "Grandma....."
