Why the hell did we move here? I try not to scream out as I pace around my new "bedroom" floors.

From New York to Louisiana!? Out of all places my mother thought it was more appropriate to move here?

I know everyone wanted to get away from my dad but to move to a different state? I let out a sigh, I really couldn't blame her though. He was awful to her. I shake my head trying to rid myself of the images starting to consume my mind.

She told me that I now had a job at Starbucks, I mean he got it for me but that's the least that my prick of a father could do. On another note I start school tomorrow but at least it will be my last year.

I woke up to the noise of my alarm clock screaming at me to get up. Oh joy. It was 7:00 and a Sunday morning.

All I wanted to do was burry myself in my igloo of blankets but I forced myself to get up and get the day over with. I sat up and got a text from Darla.

Darla is a friend I met about 2 days ago and it turns out we have a lot in common so we've been talking to each other ever since. She's really laid back though and I guess that's why we got along really well.

I unlocked my phone and read the text:

D: 8:30 lets go to Starbuck's then head to the mall! Sounds good?

I immediately replied saying:

S: You bet !! Meet you there then, off to get ready

Well, this was good news saying that I had about an hour and a half and ran to take a shower. As I got out I went to the closet and found my favorite jeans and a nice blouse and paired that with my sneakers.

I dried my hair and didn't have to do much seeing that I have natural waves. By the time I was done changing it was 8:15 so I grabbed my bag and phone and ran down stairs.

As I walked into the kitchen I saw that both my mom and Kate were awake. Late being my annoying little sister.

"Why are you dressed up?" my mom said as she was stuffing her face with a bagel.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot to tell you, Darla wanted to have coffee this morning and go to the mall afterwards. Is that alright?" I said while fidgeting with my hands. She nodded and I thanked my lucky stars that she was being lenient today.

"What time do you think you'll be back?" I was adding up the time in my head, we'd most likely be gone the whole day.

"Uhmm, about 5:00 or 5:30. Because I'm pretty sure after we shop we'll both be starved and end up having lunch."

"Ok then sweetheart sounds like fun," mom said handing me my keys. "You girls have a good time and don't get home too late."

I stepped out of the house and saw my purple beetle sitting in the driveway. I loved my car so much! It was a gift from my parents when I was about 15 but wasn't allowed to drive it until I turned 16.

Ever since then my car and I have been inseparable. As I opened the door and started the ignition I turned the radio up to hear an old song by Mayday Parade come on.

A smile immediately covered my face as I backed out of the driveway and headed down the street.

It was 8:25 as I pulled up in the parking lot. I figured that I would go inside and save us a seat, so I grabbed my purse and keys and started towards the door.

As I stepped inside I could smell the rich scent of coffee beans and hear the espresso machines running. Oh how I loved to start every morning like this. I walked over to a big plush couch and set my bag and jacket on it.

I began to walk towards the counter just as Darla walked in and ran on over to give me a hug.

She was wearing her black ballet flats, dark blue skinny jeans, and a frilly blue shirt with lots of layers on it. "Sophie! You're here early." she smiled at me while putting her sunglasses in her bag.

"Just a few minutes. Now come on lets go order our coffee." As we pulled up to the counter I ordered a white chocolate mocha and Darla ordered a Carmel mocha. Oh goodness we are total white girls, I laughed to myself.

We grabbed our drinks and sat down on the couch.

"So," Darla said while taking a sip from her coffee regretting it instantly forgetting it was hot. "what have you been up to?" she finally spat out.

"Oh, well not much I guess. Taking care of Kate, cleaning the house, the usual. What about you?"

"Same thing, just relaxing or make that trying to. Kyle keeps on bothering me either drenching me in water to wake me up or switching my lotion with the mayonnaise." she made a disgusted face at the word. Who is Kyle? Her annoying 14 year old brother if I must add.

"But don't worry. I'll get him back." Darla said smirking. We had spent maybe 10 minutes sitting on the couch laying down the schedule for the day until we figured it was time to leave.

I got up grabbing my bag and drink and walked towards the door. I turned around to make sure Darla was tailing behind me when I smacked into something and collapsed on the floor.

What the hell was that?! I was just processing what had happened in my head when someone was asking if I was alright. I wanted to come off with a snarky remark but words couldn't seem to find their way to my mouth as I looked up to see the most gorgeous guy I had ever seen.

He was wearing a fit black shirt that rolled up to show his forearms and had a cut where his chest was to make a v-neck. I looked at his legs to see that he was wearing jeans and converse.

But his hair, oh my his hair was was something else. It looked as though he had grabbed the middle and spiked it up almost surfer like with shades of blond and light brown going in every which way.

Then I got to take in his eyes. They were many shades of blue that all contrasted perfectly.

I physically shook my head, what was wrong with me?

I had just stepped foot into Starbuck's holding a cup of coffee from down the street that tasted funny. I just couldn't bring myself to pass up the old lady and tell her no so I bought it and left.

I was going to throw it away and order a new one when I hit something with the door. Or should I say someone. That's really embarrassing.

When I looked over to see who it was there was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.

I noticed that the coffee I was holding was all over her jacket and she was kind of sitting in a puddle around her. I can't believe I just spilled my coffee on her.

I should've watched where I was going! I wonder what she'll say. She's probably in shock because she's just sitting there. Right now would probably be a good time to apologize.

Before I knew it words were flying out of his mouth. Funny because I can't seem to make any come out of mine.

"Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry I didn't see you. Here let's get you up and out of that mess." He extended his hand for me to grab.

So I agreed, also taking in the mess around me. His drink was all over my jacket and my drink had been thrown a few feet away. He looked at me again as he started speaking."I'm so sorry. Let me buy you another drink." he looked so embarrassed.

"It's alright." I said chuckling a bit. "My name is Hunter by the way. Hunter Hayes."

"Nice to meet you Hunter." I said shaking his hand. Whoa there.
Yep should have guessed it. He works out.

"My name is Sophie Green." I said moving out of the mess as one of the attendants came over to clean it.
