What The Hell Is Going On?

Melissa

After I finally got Sasha to calm down and finally get her to fall asleep, Isabel walks into the room. Her face is blank but her eyes told a whole different story. I silently motioned for her to follow me outside to the balcony.

She stood in front of the railing, looking out at the city.

"My sister called...it's Chris."

"What happened?"

"Chris...got into an accident. But when the cops got there and asked his name, he couldn't remember. They said he was intoxicated," Isabel said, suppressing a sob. I rubbed her back.

"Have you talked to him?"

"Yeah... I've never heard my brother sound so... sad. Like he's given up. You know what he said to me before I hung up? 'I'm sorry for failing you, Bel.' But none of this is his fault! He's tried to be good and tried to get help from my mom but all she's done is ignore him. And I called her about an hour ago to tell her to leave Florida and go home to Connecticut with him and all she says is no; that she doesn't want to spend the money... Melissa I might have to leave. I can't just sit here knowing that my brother is in trouble."

Isabel was softly sobbing into her hands. I brought a hand to her back.

"As sad as it would be to see you leave, you have to do what you have to do. Just promise you'll be careful and call. I don't want to be here worrying if you're okay or not." She laughed.

"I promise I'll call... Justin actually wants to go with me. To make sure things are okay." I smirked at her.

"Sounds like things are getting a bit serious," I teased. Isabel blushed.

"I swear that boy is the sweetest. He called me late last night. That's why I went out to the balcony. He said he just wanted to hear my voice. We literally just talked. About funny things, serious things... and he wants to take me out. Like on dates. I literally questioned his motives and he came out straight and said he liked me. But wants to take things slow." I nearly freaked out in excitement.

"Wait so you guys are like dating now?" She nodded. I squealed and hugged her.

"I'm so happy for you!" She laughed and poked my stomach. She pulled away and smirked at me.

"Now about you and Andy..." I groaned.

"Please don't remind me."

"Why? What did he do? Do I need to kick his ass?" I chuckled.

"No. It's just I have no idea what we are. I mean we kissed and pretty much confessed our feelings for each other but I'm confused. Cause I think I'm starting to like Liam too." It was Isabel's turn to groan.

"That's how I feel," I say. She shook her head.

"Let's just be glad it's not Ryan." I shuddered at the thought.

"I'd rather not go back down that road. For about four years I liked him. Now that I'm over him, I never want to go back." We both laughed. The sliding door behind us opened. In came Andy with a tired look on his face.

"Hey girls."

"Hi," we replied in unison.

"How's Gordon?" I asked. Andy sighed.

"He'll be okay. But things between him and Jessie have to be solved..." I nodded in agreement.

"I've got to go make a call. I'll see you guys in the morning. Goodnight," Isabel said, making her way to the door. I turned and made a small wave to her.
