Chapter 11

Melissa

I paced back and forth in the waiting room, trying not to freak out over everything that's been happening. I have all my boy drama going on, then acting as some kind of shrink for Sasha and Isabel for their family issues, then Lexi turns up missing; only to be found by Louis. Now we're at the hospital cause she's all bruised up and we have no idea what happened. So I think I'm close to mentally exploding right now.

I felt eyes on me every few seconds. When I looked at who it might be, I noticed Andy and Liam glancing at me. I could feel my face warm from the blood rushing to my face. After awhile, Sasha dragged me to the food court, making me sit down. She sighed.

"When was the last time you ate?" I shrugged, letting my head fall against the table.

"Melissa, talk to me. What's wrong?" I shook my head, not wanting to talk about my problems.

"When are you ever going to learn to talk to someone when something's wrong? We all come you when something is wrong. But you never say anything when something is wrong with you. So talk."

"...I'm done talking. Talking just lands me in even worse condition than what I was in before. That's why I don't talk," I said, sitting up.

"You realize that your just a ticking time bomb, waiting to be set off." I shrugged.

"At this point, I have no interest in how I feel...I'm just tired of almost everything." Sasha sighed, getting up and getting two coffees for us. I took mine from her gratefully.

"So what happened between you, Liam, and Andy?"

"So what's happening between you and Niall?"

"No, no, no. I asked first." I was silent for a moment.

"Liam waited for me when I was getting some stuff together for Lexi. When we got into the elevator, he kissed me. And I kissed him back. Before I knew it, I heard Andy call my name, making me pull away from Liam. But I think you can tell what's happening now." I took a sip of my coffee.

"Your love life sucks," she replies, snickering. I rolled my eyes.

"No shit Captain Obvious." Sasha chuckled, sticking her tongue out at me. I just laughed, shaking my head. Then it got quiet.

"Niall asked me to be his girlfriend."

"Oh my god that's amazing!" She laughed.

"But I told him that I want to take it slow for now. I don't wanna rush...us," she said giggling. It was weird seeing Sasha like this. She's always been the tough, tomboy kind of girl. Not one who gets all giggly over a boy.

"And what did he say?" I asked curiously.

"He agreed," she said pausing.

"His actual words were 'A princess should never be rushed. She shall be waited upon and treated as a beautiful queen.' Oh and not to mention he got down on one knee when he said this. Then kissed my hand before standing back up."

"That is probably the cutest thing ever. You know Justin wants to do the same thing with Isabel. I just find it so sweet; congrats girl!" Sasha blushed.

"Thanks." She looked down at the medium coffee in her hands, smiling slightly.

"Hey, Sasha. Hello, Melissa," Andy said, passing us to grab a coffee for himself. My heartbeat quickened at the sound of his voice.

"Hey," Sasha and I replied in unison. He walked over to the table we were sitting at and took a seat across from me.

"Anything on Lexi yet?" I ask. He shook his head.
