You were never the one to break the code.

‌You were obedient to the law, you were the one who always obey, listen, and proceed every actions with a firm belief.

You were somewhat ruthless when it comes to it. Law was something that you hold dearly to your heart. ‌But tonight? You need to break it.

You had to break it.

‌Creeping through the office, you smiled bitterly at every officer you met. You were one of the most trustworthy member in BCPD, along with your  acquaintance. The infamous Richard John Grayson. He was a great partner, an amazing one perhaps. His actions defines him greatly, his sense of justice strong.

Unlike most of the officers around here.

You made a turn at the corner before looking back one more time at the halls. 'This is it' You thought as you pulled out a lighter. Tip-toeing, you outstretched your arms and light it off. A few seconds later, the fire alarm blared through. Ringing like a mad bell.

Soon enough, every guarding officers scattered to find the source while grabbing the important files decked at each of their tables. People yelled and ran, saving their cases. The commotion caused was big enough to distract everyone as you sneaked your way to the main case files storage. Pulling your flashlight, you scanned and manovered through the piles of paper and evidence.

It took a few minutes before you found it. The case files for black mask, along with his evidences. Your hands trembled as you reached for it. Reading through the files one more time, you nodded. At a speed of light, you slid the paper and things into your coat. Sweat dripped along your temple as you made a quick exit.

Your footsteps bounced off the walls as you made your way to your desk, a nervous face plastered across your face. "What's happening?" You asked Amy, one of your early friends at the office as you start to grab your files.

"Don't." She placed her hand and stopped you from taking your files. "It was a false alarm. We checked the whole quarter. Nothings burning."

You sighed in false relief. "Thank goodness, I thought I needed to transport everything!" Your shoulders slacked off, and you pulled your hand back, gesturing the enormous pile of files.

"Yeah, I wonder what caused it though. Must be a prank."

'It was me.'

She then smiled and nodded her head, excusing herself. You nodded in return and pulled out your phone.

---I got the files----

You waited for a minute before getting an address.

- - - North of Crime alley, 13'th warehouse. - - -

You quickly typed and send your confirmation,

---I'm on my way---

You called your nonexistent friend's phone and made your way out of the office in a rushed tone, waving off a sense of urgency in which everyone understood.

You double checked the files and evidence in hand whilst pulling over your car and parked it a few good blocks away from the meeting place. Propping it into the oversized suitcase, you mentally rehearsed your plan for the millionth time.
