Regal Academy-The Next Year

Another Step-Chapter 1

After all the craziness that happened with Vicky Broomstick the group decided to be more cautious than ever during classes, events, etc.

(The fanfic starts the 2nd week of school of another year, like, that's the day the story starts)

Rose lay in bed, worn out after defeating Jafar, from the Aladdin Fairytale

Rose's POV (I guess?)

"Rose! Get up you'll be late!" Rose's mom said, trying to shake her awake

"Nghhh... wha...?" Rose groaned, and looked at the time

"OH GOSH! I'm Late!!" Rose jumped out of bed and hugged her mom quickly and ran to get dressed

"I'm late again! again!!!" Rose panicked, talking to herself, she darted downstairs and waved to her mom and dad

"Bye!!!" she ran down the street and to the alley where the door was to go to Regal Academy and saw Travis about to go in

"Hey wait up Travis!" Rose called out

"Huh? did you sleep in again?" Travis asked

"yeah yeah, let's go" Rose and Travis went in, and came out of the portal gate, Astoria, Hawk, and Joy LeFrog waiting, Astoria tapping her foot

"You're late." Astoria said sternly

"Sorry! I was really tired and well... um... sorry...." Rose began explain but realized it would make things worse

"We have a group assignment, and after us saving the school... who knows how often... we weren't able to practice the dragon routine, which is why we were going to meet up early, remember?"

Rose kept apologizing repeatedly, feeling extremely quilty

"The dragon training competition isn't for a couple weeks though, right?" Joy interrupted, feeling bad for Rose having to deal with Astoria's strict personality

"I suppose, but we all have to stay after school to make up for it" Astoria said "And don't you forget, now... we should head to class." Astoria replied as she lead the way and everyone followed

They all walked into class right before it started "Phew... not late" Astoria said to herself

"Welcome to class everyone, as you all should know today is going to be a history test to see how much you really know about our fairy-tale ancestors...." Magister Rapunzel said, starting class, Rose felt confident, she had studied with Travis the day before and they went over each and every fairy-tale that they could

*After Class*

Astoria's POV

"Ready for the next class?" I asked, as always trying to be on top of things

"Yes, it doesn't start in a few minutes, Should we go over our notes again?" Rose asked

"That's the plan" Astoria asked

Ever since Rose well, saved the school we had the best grade possible! And she's started to study more which is great to keep up the fantastic grade! But she is still late... a lot, which makes our grade below perfect... I guess some things will never change, but even so I will do my best to become future headmistress!

Travis' POV

We all walked to one of the fairy-tale gardens to go over our notes, which is good since I hardly studied at all... why? well... I was doing stuff... like... um... definitely not daydreaming about LingLing

"Understand Travis?" Rose asked me, as she was just explaining to me something I was confused about

"Ohhh yeah, okay, that confused me" I said

"Glad I could help, also, after this last test I was talking to my granny and she told me that we're going to be having another ball." Rose said

"Oh really? When?" Joy LeFrog asked

Maybe I can ask LingLing to go with me! It's been a while since we've really hung out...!

"What's with that silly look on your face Travis?" Rose asked, somewhat teasing me

"Uhh..." I couldn't think of anything to say

"You're thinking about taking LingLing with you, aren't ya?" Rose asked me, looking excited

"Yeah, yeah okay, you're right." I said, knowing there was no use trying to hide it

"Huh... do you by chance know where Hawk went?" Rose asked, suddenly realizing Hawk well, wasn't there

"Oh yeeeeaaaaah... let's just say... he got mobbed by his fan-girls again..." Astoria answered

"Of course... Eh, he should be fine for the tests though so I guess it's alright." Rose replied

Hawk POV

Phew... finally... got away... now if I can just sneak around the corner...

"Hawk!!! Can you take me to the dance?!"

"What?! No!! Me!" A few of the princesses had found me

"Craaaaaaaap, uh, sorry ladies but I uh... I'm.... taken?" Dang it Hawk! now you actually have to go with someone

"Really?! Who?" One of them asked, with a hint of jealousy in their eyes

"It's a... secret, yeah, also, I have to study so..."

"Can you study with me?"

"Nope, I'm studying with my team, bye!" I ran, as fast as I could and I finally found Astoria, Travis, Joy and Rose

"Hey guys... uh, sorry about that." I said

Rose POV

Hawk came up to us Finally I thought to myself

"Hey guys... uh, sorry about that...." Hawk said, blushing a little bit probably of embarrassment and stress

"It's fine, it's not like it isn't normal for you." I said with a small smirk

Hawk laughed nervously, probably thinking about his grandma setting him up constantly, but eh, I dunno
