The Final Push-Chapter 18

Note: This is by far the longest Chapter so be prepared Mwahahaha! I'm not sure why I'm evil laughing since this chapter is kinda drama-free

Rose's Pov

"This has gone on long enough! You've been avoiding us... No, you've been avoiding Hawk and Laurence, and as a result avoiding both teams! Honestly, do you think you're going to be solving any problems like this?!" Astoria said, I stood there, I wasn't ready to confront anyone about this, not yet...

"N-No.." I stammered in response and I didn't know what to do, I couldn't just look away and I couldn't just look at someone else to avoid eye contact I couldn't escape... Not this time...

"So then what are you going to about it?" Astoria replied almost immediately, seeming to calm down a bit, and Hawk and Laurence just watched Astoria in amazement, or so it seemed at least.

"I... I don't know..." I replied, feeling more awkward by the second, honestly, Astoria could've at least talked to me beforehand... Oh, wait, no... I was kind of avoiding her too... Um...

"Fine, well I have a plan, you, Laurence, Hawk, and Petal are going on a double date." Astoria said

Petal, Laurence, Hawk and I all shouted in unison
"WHAT?!" And Astoria just crossed her arms

"Tomorrow after school you will go on a double date and you won't be able to avoid it, kay?" Astoria said sternly, emphasizing the will and won't, everyone who was going on the double date including me gulped

"O-Okay..." I stammered again, worried about what would come if we didn't go, as Astoria can be kind of... Interesting, we'll go with that.
So, I went home after Astoria gave us all the information for the 'date' and I went home, greeted my mom, she asked how my day was and I told her it was tiring... And went to bed

-The Next Morning-

Travis's Pov

After yesterday's after-school... Incident with Astoria I honestly felt bad for Rose and Petal after I heard the situation with Laurence which sounds like a very, very awkward situation, haah, at least I'm not the one with bad luck lately... anyway, because of the situation I figured I would go pick up Rose instead of the other way around... So after a short walk, I arrived at her house and knocked on the door, Rose answering and her hair in a braid

"Hey, Travis." She greeted, sounding a bit surprised

"Hi, ready to go?" I asked

"A-Ah... Um.. Give me a second, you can come in" she said, I walked in and she quickly drank the rest of her juice and grabbed the rest of her toast to take with her

"Okay, let's go." she said, taking a bite out of her toast. So we walked over to the alleyway and surprisingly she didn't even flinch when we were passing the shoe store and when we arrived at the portal I stopped and looked over at her

"Rose... Is something wrong? You seem a bit off today" I asked, she seemed a bit startled by the question

"W-Why do you ask?" She answered with another question...

"Well, for one thing, your hair is done up in a braid today which is unusual for you, when we passed the shoe store you didn't even flinch and... You're going on a double date today with the people you've been trying desperately to avoid so... Y'know..." I explained and her face just turned a bright red and she covered her face with her hands

"Gahhhh... Don't remind meee" she groaned a bit and I could see even her ears turn a rose red

"All I can say is good luck to you." I said with a bit of a nervous chuckle as I opened the door saying the magic words and Rose sighed in response
