Phoenix's plan was set into action. Two can play at this game. Make Lockwood jealous it can't be that hard right. We stepped back into the ball room. To find Holly singing on the stage. She was swinging her hips from side to side trying to be seductive. Phoenix snorted in laughter and I had to elbow him when people started staring.
"I think I need new ears." He gasped for breath as she finished the song. I could see what he meant most people had covered their ears.
"Hey Lu?" He elbowed me in the ribs giving me a cheeky grin. I rolled my eyes typical.
"Don't do that, why did you do that." I scowled at him but he dismissed it with a small wave of his arm.
"Go sing Lu, its been ages since I heard you sing." He grabbed my hand as I tried to object and dragged me towards the stage. As we passed she slightly brushed my shoulder as if warning me to back off. I was dragged all the way up the steps and onto into the middle of the stage.
"I made Lucy promise me a song tonight to show you guys her talent. Lucy's great at a lot of things, she is an amazing friend, colleague, artist and singer. I don't want to embarrass her too much so I'll shut up in a second but I promise, you will all be shocked." Phoenix shoved the microphone into my sweating hands and laughed at my embarrassment before jumping off the stage and into the crowd.
I stood there on the stage all eyes on me. My legs were like jelly and my breathing ragged. Stupid stage fright.
I searched the crowd looking for Lockwood to find him with his arms wrapped around Holly. We made eye contact for a few seconds before he looked away as if he couldn't stand me. My gaze travelled to the front and Phoenix caught my attention. I smiled and my heart partially calmed down as I visualised just me and him alone in the room.
As the piano started everyone came back into view however I wasn't scared anymore. The music woke the old me up and I started singing automatically. The lyrics flowed from my lips and I closed my eyes in joy. Everything left my mind and I felt like I was floating on cloud nine.
When the music ended I looked up and to my surprise people were clapping and filming me with there phones. I popped the microphone back in it's holder and jumped of the stage. Straight into Phoenix's open arms.

Sorry I never updated I got writers block and then I had no internet for two weeks.
But I'm really sorry.
I have had an idea to make this part before Lucy leaves. So that I can make this into two books. Hopefully depends how many people want me to do it.
Also the song she sings is Ed Sheeran Happier and there is an accoustic version at the top of the page which depending on what device you are on some people can listen to it as they read. I kind of feel like it just sets the mood a little bit.
Also do you guys have any other ships you would like me to add?
