Second week back at school and things are going really well. I'm not so weary of Jess anymore and we are back on talking terms. My only issue now is my paranoia of Jess changing back into such a monster. Since her lying facade she hasn't done anything that bad to me and most of the time I'm at school so I don't have to associate with her which is sort of good.
Currently, I was sat in homeroom with Skylar. Scarlet was absent which left just the two of us. Ms Baker walked around handing everyone a piece of paper. I skimmed through it with a smile on my face.
'This is my chance to prove myself. This is my chance to make Nathan proud and show him I am not just his little girl that gets into trouble all the time.'
The note was about the parent-teacher interviews that were coming up. They were in two weeks and I was determined to make my plan work. Maybe I can even get Nathan to chill a bit and ease up on my punishment. Example: No more grounding!
The day seemed to fly by and it was home time before I knew it. I caught the bus and kept to myself. I walked home and when I made my way through the door I immediately called out for Nathan. "Nathan's not home yet Alysha" Jess said from the kitchen.
I groaned and mumbled to myself as I stormed up the stairs. "He said he'd be back earlier that damn liar!" I shouted to no one in particular as I entered my gloomy room.
He's been home late every day this week. He doesn't get back until I'm either about to go to bed or the early hours of the morning! It's ridiculous and pissing me off. I just want to spend time with him. I can't do that if he's never here! It's just not fair.
I got changed into my crimson red skater dress and tied my hair in a messy bun since it was surprisingly hot today. I slipped on my black flats and made my way downstairs to do my chores. I did the kitchen then headed to the laundry. I put a finished load of clothes into a basket put another load on and went to put the wet clothes outside on the line. While I was pegging the items I felt someone's presence behind me.
"I didn't lie to you when I said I'd be home early." I heard a deep voice say. I turned around and grinned. I ran up to him and hugged him tight. "I was planning to beat you home but left later than I should have. Can my little girl forgive me?" He asked pouting childishly.
"Hmmm. On one condition" I said looking him in the eye, a smirk growing on my lips.
"And what might that be?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"I get cookie-dough ice cream every night for the next week no matter what." I stated simply.
"You could do that or we could spend the whole weekend together with no interruptions from work. I won't even make you do any homework unless there is a test you need to study for." He said smugly. I was tempted but I really wanted that damn ice cream. I haven't had it in what felt like months.
"Can I still get the ice cream?"
"Maybe; if you behave." He said as his gazed flickered to my neck and going back to my eyes.
"After my chores." I said, after realising exactly what he meant. Turning back around to finish what I was doing I felt Nathan kiss my cheek and whisper in my ear. "Don't keep me waiting too long."
A shiver ran down my spine from his dark words and I watched him walk back into the house. I worked quickly and finished my all my chores within the next twenty-five minutes. Then I went to find Nathan.
"Nathan's out the front if you're looking for him" Jess said as if she read my mind.
"What is he doing out there?"
"I don't know" She shrugged and switched the TV on. I rolled my eyes at her 'helpfulness' and headed to the front door. I went to open it but was beaten to it.
