Sam-Sam kicked off his shoes and sat back on the couch resting in the corner of Gabriels spacious apartment living room, a smile cutting into his cheeks like a blade, he couldn't help it. He was excited, and happy, and felt the spicy feeling of exuberant passion whenever he was around Gabe (The words he uses to describe this man are lengthy and sometimes he feels like Cas is swimming in his mind. Silly Cas and his big words... Cas was literally like a brother to Sam. )
Gabe sat down beside him, handing Sam a cool container of sweet soda and took a swig of his own, "So, Kiddo.... What now? "Sam looked at Gabriel with wide eyes, he shrugged, "I don't even know what to think of this, man. I didn't even know I was... Well into guys. " Sam though of Jess and sighed, plucking at the loose metallic cap of the soda container.
"Yeah, well Jessica wasn't a mistake either, Sammy, " Gabriel smiled, his top lip standing out and his cheeks bright, "I need you to understand your not gay. "
Sam smirked, "So I'm bi..." he chuckled and combed his fingers through his hair.
"Yes, and now I am the high light of your life... " Gabriel smiled and leaned in for a kiss. Sam inched back a little, still unsure. But before it could even happen, Gabriel shot up from the couch, horror creasing his lined face.
Sam sat up, "What!? What is it... "
Gabriel looked at him, "I'm sorry Sam.... I.... Come on. "
He grabbed Sam by the shirt and they were gone from the apartment. They popped up on the wet grass of a lonely field... The field behind Bobby's house. Broken cars plagued by dead nostalgia littered the space around the field and Bobby's cozy home could be seen in the distance.
Sam glanced to his left and saw Dean and Cas, standing with Ellen and Jo. All of them had blotchy cheeks and the support of one another... A burning upright Tipi of sticks planted before them... But that only happened when their was a hunters funeral... Someone was burning in there.... Oh god.
Dean noticed Sam and waved him over, tears running down his cheeks, "Dean! " Sam cried, running to his brother and placing a hand on his shaking shoulder, "What... Who... Wheres Bobby? Who is in the... "
Deans lip trembled and his voice wobbled as he whispered to Sam, "Bobby's gone... " he could barely choke out the last words and silently turned his head back to the crackling flames, his eyes dead and watchful.
Sam felt his blood run cold and the wind whipping around them felt colder than before, he felt a warm pair of arms hug him from behind and he sighed softly , feeling the tear slip from his eye with out struggle, "Let's go home, Gabe... please... " Sam whispered, the words barely audible, "I can't.... "
"I Know, " Gabriel whispered, and they disappeared. Sam couldn't do it. He couldn't watch the only man that's ever really been their father burn to ashes.
