“..Cheyanne must be under some kind of spell or something... i don't know, but i do know she would never claim to be the alpha's mate unless she thought she definitely was.” Nate mind linked as he helped Sadie down from a steep rock.

“ People can surprise you.” Kyle said though the link

“But not her, I swear she's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.” Nate said..

“ She knew you found your mate and still continued to sleep with you knowing it would cause your mate extreme pain. She didn't care you pretty much rejected your mate for her. When she knew she would definitely not do the same, she was ready to screw you over.” Landon said though the link making both Sadie and Nate growl.

“ He has a point.” Sadie mumbled as Nate's expression turned regretful.

“ You do realize if this is true and she's behind this, she has access to all pack information... and the ability to 'change' or 'sway' the alpha's decisions to favour herself?” Nate said

“So she can pretty much single handily destroy the pack...” I mumbled.

“ Then why won't you tell him, stop it before it happens?” Nate said.

“ Because there might be other people involved... a bigger plan. We need to see whats going on, we can't let them know, we know. First things first, we have to find out if Cheyanne is involved. Or if shes spelled to think he's her mate.” Landon replied.

Sadie looked over at me and half smiled, “ I have a plan...” she mind linked.

3 weeks later.

“ We're going to complete the mating process, there is definitely no need to wait. We love each other,” Cheyanne said to me with a huge smile

My wolf wanted to rip her head off.

“ Are you sure you're ready for that kind of commitment...” Sadie asked her

“ Well yes, I want the pack to know who their alpha female is. “ She told us.

Me and Sadie looked at each other.

“ We didn't mean that...” Sadie said then continued, “ You'll be tied to Conner for life. If he dies you die. Its like literally connecting your life with his.”

She slightly paled, “ What do you mean?” she asked as her eyes twitched back and forth.

“ You're making a commitment to your mate. What do you expect, you're life gets connected with his, because mates can't live without each other.” Chloe told her.

“ But I know of people who lived after their mate passed away...” she said.

“ Yeah because they didn't mark each other or were a pure-blood. “ Sadie said.

Cheyanne smiled, “ Well it doesn't matter, I love him. God, I love him so much. It feels unreal.” then she continued, “ I want him to mark me.”

My wolf was literally on edge.

I don't think she knows he's not her mate Chloe said though the mind link.

I nodded at her.

“ So, I'm going to go talk to Leslie about the new group coming in...” I said as I walked out the door of our cabin, my wolf still on edge. She was ready to kill her.

“ Hey, Leslie.” I smiled at her. She stared at me like I had a hundred heads.

“Hi.” she mumbled.

“ I know you don't like me cause I called your mate hot. “ I said finally getting it off my chest, “ and I'm sorry about that. I would never do anything to hurt you. Plus he only has eyes for you, you know this. Even if you guys always break up and get back together, you were made for each other. No one else could ever have what you two have, and I'm sorry for ever saying anything that made you feel uncomfortable. Your wolf probably wanted to kill me.” I told her.

She half smiled at me, “ Hell, I wanted to kill you. “ She said with a grin, “ Yeah I'm sorry too, you know for being a bitch. It's just you don't know what it feels like. Its like being jealous times a million, because we know they're ours. For life.” She said.

“ I can understand that.” I told her, “ Friends?” I asked her as I held out my hand.

She nodded as she shook my hand, “ Friends, “

“ Your plan is shit.” I said looking at Sadie.

“No it's not, it's just taking a little longer than we would like.” She said.

“ Its been three weeks Sadie, it's safe to say your plan isn't working.” Chloe said.

“ I almost got Angel to spill today... she literally had to stop herself, “ Sadie replied.

Oh yeah, Her plan... well it was to torture Angel and Liam to get them to tell us everything. But they wouldn't say a word. In the last three weeks, we've tryed prety much everything. And got nothing. Well besides us becoming extremely close to Chloe, turns out she isn't a bitch after all. She was just well lonely and wanted attention. Well all attention. On her. At all times. Safe to say she isn't like that anymore. Well expect when it comes to my brother then yes shes like that minus the lonely part. But that's to be expected.

“ Wait, I just got a brilliant plan. “ I said, “ I was talking to Conner a while back and was asking him about everyone... He mentioned that Liam has a huge thing for Angel...”

“ Could they be mates?” Sadie asked.

“ Probably, she never wanted anyone around him... But didn't want him at the same time.” Chloe said.

“ So if we threaten to hurt her... ruff her up a bit in front of him... he might tell us everything to stop us from hurting her.” I told them.

They smirked, we now had a plan to put in action.

Five minutes. Five minutes was all it took for him to crack. We now knew everything and god was I mad as hell. We were being played as fools. All of us. And didn't even realize it. Especially me. How could I have not known... Not known that the people I've been living with for the last fourteen years were in fact hunters... Friends of the people that attacked my family.

And worst of all. Witches. The hunters had witches on there side. Witches that in fact spelled both Conner and Cheyanne to help destroy the pack. They wanted to wipe them out. Kill all of them.

The people who were supposed to come that night were in fact the hunters, including my adoptive parents. But they didn't show. They probably knew it wasn't going to work. So now I have to tell Conner everything. Including me being his mate.

It was more dangerous right now for him to be in the dark then it is for him to know. And Cheyanne well she'll have to fucking deal. She's spelled. She's not his mate. She'll never be his mate.

That’s when I felt the pain. It felt like I was being burned from the inside out.

“ What the hell is happening. “ I cried as I clutched my chest.

“ They're having sex.” Sadie said as she looked at me panicked. “They must be planning to mate. We need to stop them.”

My wolf howled inside of me, I felt tears brush my eyes. He was having sex with another girl. A girl that wasn't me, his mate.

“ Chloe bring her outside, the coldness helps. Trust me. I went though this a lot. I'll stop them. Now go.”

Chloe helped me out the door as Sadie ran towards the boys dorms.

“ Landon's been hurt,” Kyle said frantic though the mind link, “ Silver bullet,”

Chloe looked at me in pain, “ Go.” I whispered to her as I sat down on the cold ground, The sky crying just like I was.

She took off running.

And I was alone.
