"What do you mean you don't serve to state hoppers?!" We had pulled into the fort, the asshole behind us continuing on down the road. It had taken too long for our liking for the electric gate to turn off and open, almost too long. The herd of walkers that caught scent of us from down the road had only been about twenty yards away, unsteady and stumbling faster than I liked.
"What I mean, is that I don't have the resources for people like you. People in the area need what I have till I can get more in." I closed the car door and approached the main building, listening in. "You can hop on that road and make it to the next supply fort, they have just what you need there. All I can give you is a place to sleep."
   "That's bullshit-"
"You can leave, if you don't  like it." The woman flashed me a grin as the man in front of her trembled in frustration.
"I'm staying for the night," he grumbled out, his hands twisting the fabric of his hat so tight that it just might tear. He stomped hurriedly past, hardly bothering to cast me an exasperated glare. I turned back to the woman then, flashing her a grin of my own.
"Nyma. How's it been, hon?" She gave me a sickeningly sweet smile as she wrapped an arm around my own, turning to my group.
"Oh, it's been so boring without you here. No one's been able to keep me on my toes like you," she purred out, eyes narrowed. I slipped an arm around her shoulder, removing it from her grip.
"Glad to know I'm the only one who can harass you like so." My eyes flashed over the group. Hunk was already tense, reluctant to accept her as a friendly presence. The rest seem confused, though they kept  it to themselves.
"I see your band of misfits has grown? Too many mouths to feed, I thought you of all people to be the loner type." If the others weren't on edge before, they were now. Even from where they stood, the venomous lilt in her voice reached them and rang clear. Keith's hand was brushing the hilt of his knife, eyes struggling between keeping bored and blazing with suspicion.
"The more people, the more supplies we bring in. We even brought a gift! See the boy with the mullet? All for you-" I kid, a deadly chuckle leaving my mouth as Keith gave a confused glare. "Kidding, of course."

Hunk held the battered rod, his eyes flicking between Rolo and the abused object before he set it down. I couldn't help but snicker.
"C'mon Hunk, we just got here. Don't kill out hosts just yet man."
"I wasn't gonna kill them, just lightly knock their brains out." I snorted at this, hand slapping the table lightly.
"Sure man, just wait till we're leaving. I don't wanna deal with the bodies." Hunk only nodded, hands returning to tinkering with the parts on the table.

Sorry it's so short! I've been preparing for exams, but I'll try to get another part out tomorrow!
