"How's she doing now?" asked Nick as he came into the room.
It's been over a day since we found the girl. As soon as she passed out I picked her up and carried her all the way back to the base. The moment we walked into the small clinic with her in my arms, everyone rushed towards me taking her from me and laying her on the bed.

"Who is she?"
"Do you know who she is?"
"Where did you find her?"
"The poor girl."
Everyone started talking at once. But I only had my focus on the girl laying on the bed. Looking peaceful as she slept.
"Tyler...Tyler..." I felt a shake towards my right side.
Looking to my right I saw Katherine who was shaking me, bringing me back to reality.
"Who is she?" she asked with concern in her voice.
The room went silent as everyone stared at me, waiting for a reply.
"I don't know... our car broke down in the middle of the road and so we decided to walk and she popped out of the jungle and fainted in my arms when I approached her."
"Look at the restraint marks on her wrists and ankles. And all these other bruises all over her body," said Claire.
"You guys know the drill. So get to it guys. I'm going to go report to Clayton before he decides to bite my ass." I say while exiting the clinic.
After reporting to Clayton, I decide against taking a shower until I check up on the girl.
WTF
I don't even know this girl and yet my mind keeps pulling me towards her.
It's just pity I tell myself. Yeah that's what it is. I just feel pity for her, I try to convince myself.
Walking back into the clinic, I notice that the girl is no longer on the bed.
Looking at the front desk I see Katherine sitting on the chair writing away.
"Where's the girl?" I ask her.
Looking up from her desk, she replies "we shifted her into one of the rooms."
My shoulder visibly relaxed. I was tense? Why was I tense before?
Before I can ask Katherine more about the girl, she beat me to it telling me the damages done to her.
"She has 3 broken ribs, and 2 of them are fractured, and she has bruises throughout her body
My breathing suddenly increased and I had my fists clenched towards my side.
Closing my eyes I looked up at the ceiling letting out a huff of breath and pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Which room is she in?"
"The third door to your right."
Walking further into the clinic I stopped right in front of the room the girl is supposed to be in. Walking in I saw Nick, Travis, Jacob, and Cody standing by her bed.
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask them all.
"We just wanted to check up on her," replied Jacob.
Nodding my head I walked up closer to the bed until I was at the edge of it.
Looking down at her I felt a sudden ache in my chest.
"She looks so familiar, doesn't she?" asked Cody.
Without replying back to Cody I looked towards Nick, Jacob, and Travis ,"can you guys try to pull up some info on her?"
"We can try but it'll be a little hard since we don't have any info on her to even start with," replied Travis.
Nodding my head I looked back down at the sleeping angel.
"We'll let you know if we find anything," said Nick.
With that, all four of them left the room leaving me and angel alone in the room.
Sitting down at the edge of the bed I picked up her arm settling my hand on top of hers repeating what Cody said in my head "she looks so familiar doesn't she?"

"Dude?" Nick said louder this time snapping me back to the present.
"Sorry man. What did you say?"
"I asked how's she doing now."
"Still the same."
"She didn't wake up yet?"
"No. It's good that she's sleeping. Her body and mind needs rest especially after what she's been through. "
Noticing an envelope in Nick's hand I ask "did you find anything on her?" while pointing at the envelope.
"No," he replies looking disappointed. "But we're still looking."
Nodding my head I get up from the chair I was sitting on. "Well I'm going to freshen up," I say while walking towards the door. Looking back I smile at angels sleeping body and then turn my head back towards Nick.
Slapping my back, "go freshen up and rest. Everyone is here to watch after her," said Nick.
Nick starts to walk down the hallway leaving me at the door. Quickly glancing back at angel, I mutter softly "I'll be back", before closing the door.
