Rhys

I can't take my eyes off the little blonde bombshell that just punched Justin. His wide eyes tell me that he didn't expect her to get feisty like that, but I did. I watched her slap Tad a week again over by the science building, and it was fucking priceless.

When she says that she'll aim lower next time, I about die from I don't even know, pride maybe? This girl is beautiful and feisty, two things that I look for in the women I sleep with.

I have a reputation here at Hill Tech for sleeping with just about any woman who is willing. I haven't had many standards around here, but I think that it's going to change. Just one look at this girl has me wanting to chase her around campus like a lovesick fool, or better yet the way my brother chases around Cadence.

I still think that it is amusing as hell that the only way he got her to notice him was by paying her brother's debt off. Then again, it doesn't really surprise me all that much. Cadence Eeves had been in love with that douchebag step brother of hers for as long as I can remember.

She never saw anything other than him until Mathias got his hooks into her, and now I swear they are disgustingly in love or whatever. He showed me the ring her got her last week while he was in town on business and I couldn't help but laugh at him.

He is so twisted up in her that it's insane. I still can't believe that he went against our father for her.

All our lives, Mathias had always been the chosen one or so I've dubbed him that. No matter what I did, it was never enough for our parents. They doted on him and made sure he always had what he needed and even helped him start his company, Mathison International.

A year ago at dinner, Mathias told me that he and dad had a major blow up over Cadence and how our parents thought she was a money grubbing whore. But if they would have taken the chance to get to know her, they would have seen how madly in love she is with him.

I still don't understand it myself, but it isn't my relationship, so I don't care enough to figure out. One thing I do know is that they are good together. They make each other happy, and that's all that matters.

I continue to watch the blonde as she orders her food before grinning to herself and taking her food when the put it in the little window. Just as she takes her food, the guy calls out next, and I make my way to the window, placing my order quickly.

I hand him some cash and get my food quickly. I turn and come up blank on where she hurried off to, so I scan the food court once more before I spot her in the corner at a tiny little table. She's by herself, and instead of risking someone else talking to her, I make my way straight to her, ignoring anyone who tries to speak to me on the way.

Pulling out the extra chair, I plop my ass down in it and set my plate and drink on the table in front of me.

Her head slowly rises, and she takes a good look at me before she asks, "Can I help you with something? Are you lost?" I can't help but grin. She is definitely something else.

Every girl here is the same. They only want to know me because of my name or because I'm the quarterback of the football team. Girls seem to think that I want more from them than just a late night hook up that I will never return to for seconds.

"I'm Rhys." I reach out a hand, and she sets her burrito down on her plate and stares at me like she doesn't understand how this works. "This is where you reach out your hand and tell me your name." I grin.

She still doesn't say anything, but her eyes narrow at me before shooting over my shoulder at whoever is coming up behind me.

"Baby! I've been looking everywhere for you." I groan and don't even bother turning around. My eyes meet the blonde again, and now she has an amused grin plastered on her face.
