Rachelle
I sat there for about half a hour telling Ella everything, as much details as I could remember. I was cornered I had no choice-I had to tell my LaLa all that went down.
“I’m gonna get a pint.” Ella said.
Ben& Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream has been our way to fix everything going on in our lives, since the day we had our first sleepover.
“ Its not as bad as it seems, really I promise.” I tried to reassure her.
“ Not as bad as it seems, which part? Your attempted rape or your new membership with Fight Club or is your visit to Thugville. Stop me when I’m warm please. I mean look at your hands Rach!”
“Ok the rape never actually happened and it did help with me getting the chance to train with apparently one of the best trainers-just think about how cool it would be to have a Girl that can kick some serious ass. And yeah, I’ll admit the Ryan thing was bad judgment. But that’s your fault you told me that I was letting my better judgment get in my way-so I was just taking your advice and letting go of it.”
“No badda wid dat.” (A/N: Don’t bother with that) her response let me knew that she wasn’t so amused so I tried my best to calm the situation. We don’t use our dialect often only in situations of extreme excitement or we’re just really pissed off.
“ Your bringing out the Patwa now-you mean business.”
“ Okay look-I don’t want to tell you what to do and what not to do.”
“Really, you’ve been doing all this time now-what’s changed.” I laughed.
“I'm serious, if this fighting thing is what you wanna do okay fine. Just as long as there is no danger in it-and it won't put you in the hospital-I can turn a blind eye to the tiny bruises you come home with. But NO MORE visits to Ryan‘s neighbourhood. You know they ain't nothing but trouble.”
“Yeah I do. And I promise I won't be driving that direction anymore. I'm sure he got my message anyways.”
Immediately my thoughts move to Eric, those green eyes, such depth to them, the ultimate Bad boy but I can tell with sweet side. I wonder what kissing him would be like.
“Hey when last have you spoken to Caleb.” Ella interrupted my thoughts.
"Caleb-shit thanks for reminding me." I said as I searched for my phone. "Ring it for me LaLa, I can‘t find it." I panicked.
Caleb how I could I forget my Mr. Magnificent, we arranged to talk on the phone tonight-but that was before I knew I would be getting myself into all sorts of trouble. I sat on my bed and waited for Caleb to pick up.
"Glad I didn't hold my breath." He said.
“I'm sorry-I got caught up in a few things today-you know how that can be.”
“Not to worry. Sandra was so kind to keep my company today.”
“Barbie? Hmph…what do you mean keep you company?”
“Haha...I'm just messing with you. I've been home catching up on some work, and waiting for your call. So how was your day besides full?”
It was then that I could feel the pain in my arms and knuckles coming back. After all I had gone through some what of a boxing training, and came out a winner in a battle for my “virtue” today. But it never occurred to me how much my body was not use to that kind of treatment and will be in pain until now.
"Let's just say-tomorrow I will be feeling today. So when are you making another trip out?"
"Well next week is pretty full, I got a big case preparing for. On the weekend however I don't have so much so maybe we could sneak off somewhere."
