-----------------------------------------------Ella point of view-----------------------------------

There I am staring up at Judge Michaels and his wife, who came over to say hello. What’s wrong with the picture you ask? Firstly, Judge Michaels and his wife are close friends with my father and when I moved here, my father made it a point to designate Judge Michaels aka Uncle John-as my unofficial guardian. Yes, Daddy is a bit overprotective, but I know he means well.

“Hello again, Ella.” Mrs Michaels said doing her best to also hide her embarrassment. Why is she embarrass you ask, that brings us to the second thing. At that very moment I had myself half straddled over a very gorgeous blue-eyed man-out of breath and lips swollen from an intense make-out session.

I was still in shock that Dylan had to pry my hands out of his hair so that I could regain my composure and face my extended family with the very little dignity I had left.

“Uncle John!” I squeaked, a little too high, but I was in fact caught with my hands in the cookie jar. My cheeks flushed and I knew I must have looked like a tomato.

“Ella, dear its good to see you again.” he said giving a very disapproving look. “I trust that  you are well?”

“Yes, yes of course. I’m just having a lunch with a…” what was I to say, client-Wrong? Boyfriend-Hell no! I stood there deliberating how to explain my situation, when I felt Dylan’s hand on the small of my back with a small pat of reassurance.

“Dylan Moore.” Dylan extended a hand towards the couple. “I’m a friend of Ella. And I must apologize for our behaviour- I do believe we got a little carried away giving our surroundings. I hope we didn’t cause you any discomfort.”

“Not at all. We just saw Ella earlier and we decided that we would stop to say hello as we were leaving. We are the ones that came over uninvited.” Mrs Michaels tried to give me a reassuring smile that the situation wasn’t that bad.

She stretched out her hands for a hug, which I gladly stepped into.

“Don’t worry honey, I’ll make sure John doesn’t exaggerate too much when he’s telling your father.” she whispered in my ear and I frowned-I was hoping Daddy wouldn’t have to hear about this at all.

“He’s going to be livid, Maxine. I don’t know what got into me.”

“I think I can imagine. And by the way Good Job.” she nodded in Dylan’s direction and winked at me as she released her hold.  I wanted to protest, but  I mean what was I to say-they caught me with my leg over him and tongue down his throat. I simply nodded in return and looked back at Dylan-looking completely relaxed, as if none of this is happening. My blood began to boil again.

John and Maxine said their final goodbyes after making small chit chat with Dylan-I couldn’t respond to anything, Dylan’s nonchalant behaviour was pissing me off, Maxine kept looking between us and smiling, while John was bombarding Dylan with questions so that he could have more to tell Daddy.  I groaned internally and kept shifting my weight from left to right.

“We’ll be leaving now- Ella I expect to see you soon for dinner-its long overdue.” John gave me a stern look to say that this was really not a choice.
