(Enjoy.)

I twist and turn on the couch as I try and keep the days sun from hitting my eyes. The black curtains do a poor job of keeping out the sun.
"K~keith," I hear Kance yawn.
"Hmmm?" I hum and stretch my arms.
"I've got to head to work," He says and shifts. I open my right eye and look down at him. His maroon shirt is lying on the floor next to his deep grey pants. His tie and shoes lie by the kitchen stools and he seems to only be in his white tee-shirt and his navy blue Calvin Klein boxer briefs, also including his black dress socks. He's half out of the dark brown blanket and his hair is messy and pointing in every direction. He still seems tired, but definitely not as much as yesterday.
"Really?" I ask. I lean up and brush my hair out of my face. He's draped over my right leg and doesn't look like he wants to move.
"Yeah. I really don't want to go," He huffs.
"Sorry Blue Boy, but you've got to head to work," I say and wiggle my foot.
"Fi~ne," He huffs again. He rolls off my leg and in between my bent leg and my stretched out one. He leans up and hunches over, rubbing his head. I then swing both of my legs over the edge of my couch and sit up. I reach my arms above my head and stretch them out. My back pops and I reach out in front of me, letting my shoulder pop, as well.
"How'd you sleep?" Lance asks and turns towards me. He has slight stubble surrounding his chin and jaw and his eyes look a little blood shot, like he was rubbing his eyes. He shits his legs over the edge of the couch and rests his elbows on his knees.
"Pretty decent," I shrug and stand up, "What about you?"
"Decent," He says and a small smile appears on his shaded lips.
"Want some breakfast before you head out?" I ask.
"Sure, why not," He says and stands up, following me to the kitchen. He sits at a stool and I walk to a cabinet.
  "Cereal or oatmeal?" I ask.
"What kind of oatmeal?" He asks.
"Apple and cinnamon and plain," I say.
"Do you have fruit?" He asks.
"Yeah. Strawberries and blue berries. I think I may even have some black berries. I have dried cranberries and raisins, too," I say.
"Plain," He says and I hear him get up. He walks to the fridge and grabs the berries. Then he goes through my cabinets to grab the dried fruits and then looks around for brown sugar and pulls it out.
I put some water in a kettle and put it on my stove.
"Do you like tea?" I ask and grab one of my green tea bags.
"Earl Grey," He says and walks next to me to go through my tea packets. I rest my hand on his back and open up the cabinet. I then push myself up and grab the small pack of Earl Grey tea I have stashed for Shiro.
"Here," I say and he grabs one of the small packs. I then push myself back up to put the box back. I close the cabinet and walk over to the bowls and grab one. I then grab two coffee cups off the shelve below the cups and hand one of the cups to Lance. He happily takes it and tears his packet open, revealing the small tea bag. He places it in his cup and grabs the bowl from me, too. He pours some oats into the bowl and the kettle starts to whistle. I pick it up and pour some water into his bowl then into our cups. The water in my cup slowly turns a yellow-ish color and Lance's turns a brown-ish red.
"Go ahead and eat up. I'm heading to my room to clean up," I say and grab my cup.
"Okay," Is all he says and I walk into my room. I leave the door open, not really caring. I walk to my bathroom and grab my brush. I take a sip of my tea then take the bag out, dropping it in the trash can next to my sink. I brush my hair and look for my tooth brush. I find it and finish off my tea in a few gulps. I quickly brush my teeth and open my medicine cabinet, which is my mirror. I look at the pill bottles sitting in a row and the inhaler sitting next to the bottles. I make sure I don't need to take them and close the cabinet.
"Keith, do you mind if I barrow a comb?" Lance asks from the kitchen.
"I don't, give me a second," I say and look around for a comb. I then go and hand him it, my cup in hand. He now has his pants back on and his shirt neatly folded sitting on the counter. His pink tie is lying on top of it and he has his shoes by the door.
"Thanks," He smiles. I then set my cup in the sink. I watch as he combs through his small wavy tuffs.
"Do you normally straighten your hair?" I ask.
"No. It usually dries straight after a shower, but sleeping on it makes it like this," He says. I just nod and admire his dark brown hair and how it lays so nicely across his forehead.
"I've got to get going. My work starts in an hour and I have to be there early.
"Okay," I say and lean on the counter in my black shirt and black boxer briefs.
"I'll text you later, okay?" He says and grabs his bowl and cup. He sets them in the sink and rests his hand on my back as he grabs his stuff with one hand. He smiles at me then slips on his shoes and grabs his phone.
"See ya!" He smiles and walks out. I let a small smile come across my lips and just think about last night and this morning.
I've got to admit, Lance seems like a nice boy. He's attractive and has good manners. He seems like he still has a slight grudge against me, but it's good he has the guts to admit it to my face.
I've got to admit that I would try to make it work. Make us work.

(A/n: double update tonight! I randomly wrote this up out of boredom.
I know this was boring and just a little weird, but I tried to make it a little cute? And now we know how Keith feels. *attempts to wiggle eyebrows, even though my brows don't work like that*
I'll try and write up part of the next chapter tonight. :)
