After I leave the flowers on the vase I go hug the blonde girl. It's been five years and yet we miss her so much.

"I can't believe it's been five years already" I said braking the hug and staring at the grave.

"Do you think one day we'll stop missing her?" She asked me.

"There is no way" The guy with emerald eyes answered for me.

"Yet, she will always live in our hearts" The African American boy, goes on to be our usual rock.

"I heard tomorrow Smackle will be having her hearing for parole" Maya says with the hope of changing subjects as she quickly cleans a lonely tear she doesn't wants us to see.

"She must have some damn good lawyers if they're already thinking about parole" the brunette next to Zay states.

"Not as good as mine. I'm going to attend the hearing, I can't take my lawyers but I can do an statement on why Smackle shouldn't be released" I shuddered.

"You were always good on speeches and debates" Maya says with a melancholic smile.

"Guys we're sorry but Missy and I have to get going" Zay said grabbing her wife's hand" She still hasn't gotten used to the idea of a nanny picking Leo"he said whispering trying for Missy not to hear him as he rolls his eyes.

"He's not even a one year old! He misses his mom" Missy said.

"You'll understand one day" Zay said to us as he winked.

They walked towards their car and left.

A few moments later Lucas spoke" Are you ready hun?" He asked grasping Maya's hand and rubbing with his thumb the diamond on her engagement ring.

"Can I have a minute?" she pleaded.

"Sure" Lucas said, he gave me a hug and went to start his car engine.

Maya started dropping the tears she had been hiding, I placed her head on my shoulder giving her support.

"There is not one day I don't think about her" I heard her muffled voice" Imagine what our lives could've been like, she could've been my bridesmaid, I could've been hers" she said now looking at me.

"I know, I always wonder if this feeling of guilt will go away" I said trying not to drop tears of my own.

"Farkle it's not your fault" She quickly states" She said so too, you can't keep blaming yourself for that. Not only had Riley had her mind set on this before she even met you but nothing we could've done or said would've changed her decision" she said now holding me

"Besides who would've known her digestive system was so destroyed the pills were the last drop? I didn't know she was bulimic at the begging of high school, I don't think anyone did. And Farkle it was her decision and she never blamed you for that" We stayed like that holding each other, for a few moments  until each other's words started to do effect on us.

Even when I dated Riley, Maya and I were never even acquaintances, but after Riley passed away, we were each other lifesavers, we understood what we had to go through better than anyone else. We both filled a hole in each other hearts.

"How's Tara anyway?" Maya asks out of the blue.

"Great" I hesitate" It's been getting a little serious lately, I know we've been dating over a year but she's already sending me hints she wants me to propose"
