Absorbing bakugans essence

With a loud bang I woke up from my nightmare.
It seems I fell forward off my seat while sleeping in the bus.
"Are you alright?" (Anna)
"Yeah. Totally I luckily just fell on my face." I replied sarcasticly.
"I guess nothings wrong since you can still talk like a sarcastic douche." (Anna)
"Don't take it to heart collin, she is just being an over sensitive drama queen again." (Dan)
I am currently sitting in the bus, behind me sat Anna and Dan.
"I Won't lend you my homework ever again if you don't shut it!" (Anna)
And with that another quarrel got unleashed.
As I tried to ignore the two, I tried to recall my nightmare, no matter how much I try to remember my past life.
What did the dream mean? What was the dream?
Was it maybe just a random nightmare?

Well no use thinking too hard about it right? I thought while reaching into my pocket for exedra.

As I held him up in front of me I started to think what I should do with him.
[First of all I need to create a deck, then I search for someone to do a practice bakugan match with.]
Even though I have knowledge of bakugans, I don't understand the games rules yet, sure in the cartoon they play the game but sometimes they use the abillity cards before the gate card opens and sometimes after, and it seems that the gate card will open after a certain amount of time regardless if you want it or not, but what if your bakugan somehow defeats the enemy before the gate card can be activated? Is it even possible?
While deep in thought I silently mumbled.
"Bakugan open"
*pop*
Exedra popped open from his sphere form, I started counting his heads: "1...2..3..4.5..6..7..8"
8 heads, darkus atribute, should have around 600g, but what unnerves me is the abillity card 'Nebula Hammer' the card should be a green abillity card, but the card is completely gray like its in some frozen state.

[I guess the card isn't playable?]
So many questions about the game, but no one to explore them with.
Nor is there a rulebook out yet.

While thinking the bus arrived at my stop I said goodbye to Dan and Anna and walked home.
Immediatly after I got home I ran upstairs to my room and placed all the bakugans, gate cards and abillity cards before me on the table.
If I remember correctly I can only have
1 golden gate card
1 silver card
1 copper gate card
1 green abillity card
1 red abillity card
1 black abillity card
And 3 bakugans in my deck.
"Choices oh choices..." collin

While I was in thought Exedra popped open by himself, the moment Exedra opened, a purple light floated from the closest darkus juggernoid and arrived before and got absorbed by Exedra.
[?]
While I was dumbfounded the same happened to another juggernoid and then a darkus serpenoid.
[!]
I immediatly took Exedra away from the rest of my bakugans, for the bakugans whose energy got absorbed started to turn gray, crumbled and turned to ash.....
".....wait what?"

Rubbing my eyes a couple of times. I tried to reaffirm the situation....
"Need....more...." (?)
......But something else got hold of my attention, Exedra who I thought couldn't speak started to ACTUALLY speak in an almost inaudible hoarse voice.
So I choose a darkus serpenoid and held both Serpenoid and Exedra in my hand, carefully and quietly observing the process. Serpenoid emmited a purple light, the light floated turned into a small purple fluffball and then the purple light fluffball got absorbed by Exedra.
"More..." (Exedra)
"How much more?" (Collin)
"More....."
I guess I give him more? I chose a sauros, a centipoid, 2 stinglash, a robotallion and my last darkus serpenoid together in total 6 bakugans, plus if I count the 2 juggernoids and 2 serpenoids it will be 10 in total together soooo......
"I am sure 10 bakugans are enough......right?"
I put the 6 bakugans as close as possible to Exedra and light started to come out of them, the proces happened again.
After the light dimned and only Exedra, who was now surrounded by ash, was left he started to move towards my face.
"State your name human and where I am." (Exedra)
"Well. My name is collin, this is not vestroia, we are currently in my room, I picked you up from on of the cards that fell from the sky and you are welcome by the way."
"Thank you human, but I have a duty to fulfill and so I would appreciate it if you released me from this form." (Exedra)

"I don't think you can reappear in your original form in our world. But more importantly why do you even need to absorb the life of 10 bakugans?" (Collin)

"That's a question I cannot answer for I don't understand what you are talking about." (Exedra)
"Well you seemed pretty reinvigorated when you absorbed the life force of your fellow bakugans?" (Collin)
"What!?" (Exedra)
"Yeah. You kept saying 'more....more...' so I gave you 10."(collin)
"?!"(Exedra)

After that Exedra turned silent.
[Understandable, if I groggily woke up one day and got fed the flesh of my fellow humans with relish, I would be pretty dumbstruck too.]

While Exedra kept his silence I cleaned the bakugan ash from my floor, after using the dustpan to clean my room floor I noticed purple light shining from the corners from my eyes again.
[Oh NO!]
When I turned my head I could see Exedra absorbing Robotallion, as he was busy turning robotallion into ash, I hurriedly grabbed the rest of my bakugans and put them into a box inside my desk drawer where they hopefully will be safe.
As I turned my head with a face full my anger to Exedra I roared at him.
"Why did you do that!?" (Collin)
"Because I need their power!
Don't you think I don't understand? I know I am killing my own kind, I now that it is wrong, but if I was able to travel then HE will also be here." (Exedra)

After taking a huge breath and letting it out, I calmed down, and I tried to ask in my calmest tone.
"Who is 'he'?" Collin
"The bakugan that attacked me and forced me into this state, if I don't get stronger Other bakugans may not be as lucky as me and die by his hands. I am killing a few to save the many" (Exedra)

I put my hands together as I moved them up and down in front of his face.
"So let me get this straight. You want to absorb the 'essence' of Bakugan, which in turn kills them, to gather power and stop the bakugan that kills other bakugans. That is really hypocritical man." Collin
"If I don't stop him who will? The other guardians are in Vestroia, and unless I stop him, every bakugan here might die. So tell me who else can stop him?" Exedra

"......" Collin
I wanted to tell him that Dan and co. Will probaply do that, but if I don't tell him I will be able to acquire a powerful Bakugan that will most certainly help me wipe away the competition. He doesn't have to absorb and kill Bakugans, but why should I tell him that?

I have no reason to protect Bakugans. They are only amusements in my eyes.
"You are right." Collin
I answered him in my (almost) perfect poker face.

"You may be the only one that can do it, but you can't just absorb Bakugans to death. For the sake of Bakugans all over vestroia and earth we have to gather power, by yourself, in THAT form you can't do much.
Tell you what, I am more than willing to help you gather Bakugans for you to Absorb, if you lend me you power in battles.
You get to save all Bakugans from impending doom while I, I mean we, Battle and gather Bakugans for you to do that. Deal?" Collin

I asked as I reached my hand in front of him, while having a pleasant smile on my face.
Exedra looked around a bit and then at himself after a couple of seconds he jumped into my palm and asked:
"I accept, but why you are willing to do this for me?" Exedra
At that moment I couldn't help but smile at the question.
"For fun?" Collin
