Hello! Friends, It feels great to be writing again after a long break. This very short story has a very different perspective and writing style from the ones that I have written before. I will not be telling you whose perspective. These words came flowing to my mind today as I watched the sunset through my window. Hope you will enjoy it.

"It was a struggle from the very beginning. No, I am not talking about the moment I laid my eyes on her but the moment I saw her staring at the sky, talking about the Sun, the Earth and the bond that they shared. It was not passion or love that she talked about but the bond that they share blissfully unaware of each other's presence and contribution in their existence. How one burned to give warmth and life to another! I was not the one for philosophy but she had a nurtured, fertile mind and that was one thing that I could not get over with. Oh! the ways seduction works. She didn't flutter her eyes or played with her hair. She was just there, staring at the crimson sky, blissfully unaware as the Sun, warming the fertile soils of my mind.

Would it matter if she had been pretty? Perhaps yes, I would be too blinded by the obvious to revel in the depths that her words were sucking me into. She was not a special beauty but to call her ordinary would be a mistake because the beauty of soul can never be anything but extraordinary. The desire that was rising from the pit of my stomach was of a different kind, the kind that entices the mind before the body. In those split seconds of ecstasy, I thought I could give anything up to make this evening last a lifetime. If only I could watch the setting sun, each evening with thoughts of the Sun and the Earth for the company. A conversation that would define my purpose, add meaning to my eternal search was happening right before me. At last, it was too much to bear, if I would delay more I felt I would explode with rapture. I stood up and slowly moved in front of her to ask how she knew so much, she smiled and then she vanished, she was one with them."
