it's finally the day of their departure and youngjae is excited to say the least. if him being ready a hour before they have to leave is anything to go by. when he hears the doorbell ringing, he squeals in excitement, grabbing his suitcase and goes to open the door, revealing a smiling jaebum.
"i see you're already ready," he says, greeting youngjae with a peck on the cheek. "let's go?"
"let's go."
later, they're on the road, listening to songs playing on the radio. youngjae evem sings along, showcasing his smooth vocals and further impressing his boyfriend.
"what will we do once we're there?" the younger asks.
"i can't tell you babe. it wouldn't be a surprise then."
"but i wanna know," youngjae whines, pouting as he crosses his arms over his chest in a sulky manner.
jaebum chuckles softly and taps him on the thigh with a finger. the younger turns his head to look at his boyfriend, lips still adorably pouting.
"hand," jaebum simply says, holding his own hand out while looking at the road.
youngjae frowns a bit, bottom lip still jutted out and takes jaebum's hand in his, intertwining their fingers together. the older male brings their hands to his lips and presses multiple kisses on the back of youngjae's hand, making the latter giggle slightly.
"you're so cheesy," he says, unable to suppress the smile on his face.
"i can't deny that," jaebum chuckles fondly.
the rest of the ride passes by in a flash and before youngjae knows it, jaebum parks the car in front of a beautiful wooden cabin. staring at it in awe, he gets out of the car and helps jaebum with their stuff.
"it looks really beautiful," he comments as they walk to the porch.
"we used to come here every summer vacation. we don't anymore, so i come here when i want to get away from the city," jaebum explains as he unlocks the front door.
they enter the cabin and youngjae's jaw drop in awe. the place is nicely decorated in a warm atmosphere. there's a fireplace (a real one) in the living room. the furniture is a mix between modern and vintage but the two styles compliment each other very well.
